Police Chief

I hear we have a couple of really good applicants applying to be the chief of police here in Dickson.

I heard one of the applicants is prior military and swat, he is the kind of chief this town needs a leader

yes i met one last night he was very nice him and his family were on a family drive. he was very respectful full of life and seemed to be ready to be here as our chief i believe his name is jayson vest.

Dixie girl, was he cocky

I don't know about any of the applicants but what I do know is they need to get some more officers hired, we are too short staffed and the safety of our community is at risk

@rodeo chic no he wasn't he was very nice had a nice family couple of kids my mom told me she heard he is the one with swat and military just what we need here.when do we find out who got it

To happily retired, hopefully if the swat guy gets it he will bring in some good officers who know what they are doing and we can keep our town safe and get rid of some of the drugs coming here

We need someone to do there job clean the drugs up.. I've heard good things about a few of them but I did hear the swat guy has a lot of experience from military to police.@dixie girl I think you can call city hall and find out when

Ouforever I have lived in this area for over 40 years, do you think the drugs and hoodlums can be rid from our town

JaysonVest and his wife gave me there phone number incase I heard of any rent houses for them if they move here does anyone know of any

I have not heard anything about any of them but I hope they get a good chief and good officers in soon

I will be disappointed if Jason Vest does not get it I think his military and police experience is exactly what our police department needs he is also still young and that is good he can be here for a long time and is not an old chief who is retired on duty

From what I read and see on the town of Dickson .
It definitely needs a. Better reputation. That starts with the Police Dept. Perception is reality when it comes to public service. A town like Dickson needs a Chief and officers that leave a good impression on the citizens as well as the passers by.
I believe a person with military background and police experience is a good place to start .
It takes a certain kind of person to be a police officer. It takes discipline , patience, common sense, the ability to be understanding but firm at the same time.
Most people u ask would not want to be an officer because of the dangers, stress, and heartache that an officer deals with on a daily basis.
Dickson needs a Chief that will be there to stay. Not one that is ready for for retirement and wants to have an easy ride.
Mr. Vest sounds like a man that will be good for Dickson . He sounds like a leader and one who has good qualities. With that comes followers with the same qualities.

Anyone know who got it yet what happened to old chief. Hopefully someone stays around this time. To Dixie girl do you know them personally? To watch it you sound like you're bitter with them or him but then you won't answer any questions

I met them while they were here in town I don't know anything else. They were very personal and warming to be around. And yes I asked "watch it" if they knew them yesterday still know responce
