No question who's more qualified. Parties aside and just reviewing the resumes anyone with rational thinking would see this. Not to count the staff that Sheriff Banks has assembled beginning with Chief Deputy Tom Farmer.

To much experience within the whole department to get rid of them. They, especially Tom Farmer, have worked too hard to keep Yancey Co safe & help the ppl of this County for them not to vote for Sheriff Banks & his Department... c'mon ppl think about it!!!

I voted for Gary Banks. He and his staf work very hard for all of the people in Yancey County. Chief Deputy Tom Farmer has been especially kind to me and my family. He spent as much time helping my child enter into a drug rehabilitation center as he did puting him in jail for a drug offense. We cant lose good people because of politics.

i personally would love to see CHIEF Deputy Tom Farmer run for office at some point. He is the backbone in the system. He is kind and very concerned for the citizens of YANCEY COUNTY.

I voted for Gary Banks. While he has been the appointed Sheriff he has earned my vote in the job he has done. I serve on several community projects with Chief Deputy Farmer as well and he is a tremendous asset to the Sheriff and all of Yancey County

Good grief folks. We always suspected Tom Farmer of not being honest. An honest man would have no part of what I have witnessed Tom Farmer do to innocent men: stand by and watch their careers fall about them as they are falsely accused of crimes Banks/Banks and Farmer & Co. knew they did not commit.
I just didn't think Tom Farmer was a common thief but that is all he is. His career is ruined now; washed up and he has left the county with his head hanging low. Gary Banks needs to take heed lest he is next. The voters of this fine county expect much more than the corruption the Banks' family has given the county citizens over the past three decades.

So what did Tom do that you know about? I hear he's pawned more guns, but who can tell us the whole truth? Will anyone come out and really say what has been going on?

Let's get real people. Anyone who had their eyes open during the election knows how the votes were aquired for Banks. Farmer is caught and should be prosecuted just like any other person would be.
