Busy, busy, busy,.. My son is on the Midget Football team and they played Munday this past weekend. Thankfully, even though we had to play the refs, too, they beat them 22-6.
Most of my students have turned in all of their work. I have to have the final grades posted by Wednesday at midnight. Needless to say, I have five wayward students who waited until today to submit their final papers, which fortunately are only five pages long... But, here I am in a hotel in Dallas trying to get ready for my certified latent print examiner test in the morning and I have to grade papers!.. Oh well,.. I guess I brought some of it on myself since I'm the one who scheduled my test for the 3rd.
Are you getting used to listening to your relaxation tapes? Hope they help. Short of drinking a six pack of beer or a bottle of wine, I don't have any other suggestions.
Well, just thought I'd check in. Didn't want you to think I forgot about you!

Hey, good to hear that you are still up and going. I have been listening to those CD's and I get to hear the whole CD because nothing has put me to sleep yet. I may have to try that drinking if I cannot come up with anything else that works.I went to the doctor this afternoon and he prescribed a new medication, Lyrica. We have tried all the new drugs and this one is really old and it was first given for pain, but it is supposed to make you really sleepy. If it works it will kill two birds with one stone.
Yep, those kids can keep you going. I see these grandparents that are having to raise their grandkids and I do not know how they do it. I am not sure I could do that anymore. LOL I even coached the men's softball team at church for 3 years. Did you ever know Rick Patterson that was on the police department? I had told them that we were representing the church so we needed to set an example for the kids as well as others. I went over all the things that I was not going to put up with. In the first inning Rick was playing 1st and they hit a ball to him and it went right through his legs. He threw his glove up in the stands and said a really bad work. I just walked to the door on the dugout and motioned for him to come sit on the bench with me. It did get his attention. haha
I hope you get all those papers finished and good luck on your test. Where do you teach? Sounds like you are like me on the work. I seemed to work all the time and forgot to add some rest and play time in there. It can happen and you get used to it and that is bad.
Be careful and it won't take long to catch up on the news here at AC.

I am an adjunct instructor for Kaplan University and for Ellis College of New York Institute of Technology - both online, both undergraduate criminal justice classes.
I also work for a company that deals with biometric fusion, which means they deal with being able to identify people through known movement habits like how they walk, retinas, fingerprints, facial reconstruction, etc... My end is fingerprint identification at the high national security level (terrorists, etc)... I had the opportunity to move to West Virginia to do this job and probably should have done it, but for now it is too far from "home" for my husband due to his mom's age and health issues... It pretty much pays the same working from home rather than being in a building that doesn't exist, working for a company that doesn't exist, doing a job that doesn't exist,.. thank goodness the paycheck exists!.. The only shortfall to hiring on at the WV facility would be a possible commitment of 3 months every year to be deployed to Iraq. Even though that pays $14,000 a month, it isn't enought for me to go to Iraq.
Rick Patterson sounds familiar, but it could just be from looking at the old academy photographs downstairs or from stories I heard... You gotta watch cops,.. they tend to forget their manners when they are around "normal" people! LOL
I've never heard of Lyrica, but then aspirin is foreign to me; however, lately I have had to indulge in daily doses of Alleve to control my "student induced" headaches. They'll clear up soon, though.
Okay, well, it is 10:30, so I guess I'd better hit the rack. I have a 5:00 a.m. wake-up call.

I hear what you say about Iraq, I love living in a country where we are free and I am so glad that many have fought to keep it that way. If I was a little younger I would not have minded to go to Iraq, but they don't need some old men falling over everything over there because we could not see. LOL Of course everyone has an opinion of the war and I guess I am too cruel. I always thought war was war and it was fought hard until one side one. It seems that it is all political now. I think we should fight with everything we have even if it requires the BIG bomb. Anyway that is another reason they don't need us old folks helping them.
Yeah, I know about those cops. I guess I have been around them all my life so I have learned to respect them. Some people don't think they are normal people, but I know different. I started to go to work for the police department years ago, but it was I guess it was an ID tech. Anyway Curtis asked me if I had any problem taking photos of dead people and stuff like that. At the time I was doing a lot of photography work in WF. I decided that taking pictures of live people was better than taking pictures of the dead. LOL
Even when Curt was just rookie we would go out to eat with him and his wife and if he saw something suspicious he would whip around and go check it out. We ate at the place one night and this waitress came and ask for our order and he decided that we needed to leave. He later told us that he had arrested the gal for walking the street and she had some kind of bad disease. He and Davis were partners way back when. They rushed a dive on Ohio St one night looking for someone and Davis decided to get their attention so he fired a shot in the ceiling. It got the attention of the people on the second floor. LOL Back then they got by with so much. It is funny now, but they pulled some good ones.
I got a fair night's sleep last night. I have not tired my new prescription, but I ordered this stuff over the Internet. I am going to try it again tonight so I will see what it does.
Boy, our new mayor is changing a lot of things in city hall. Seems like every time anyone changes anything they always go up on the water and sewer rates. AC is already paying the highest water rates in this part of Texas. I am not against anything like that, but it should include safe water and good streets to drive on. We do not have either here and it looks like they are not getting an closer. When I lived in Lakeside my water, sewer and trash was $40. I got my bill here today and it was $165 and I have not even watered outside. Guess I am making up for someone that is not paying or something.
Guess I had better let you go since I am just complaining today. LOL
Can I throw a rock and hit your house from where I live?
See you later.

I guess that depends on how hard you chunk the rock. Do you have me figured out? It must be time for me to talk to Johnny!
I loved hearing the stories from the older cops. It is amazing what they could get by with back in the day, and what is "politically incorrect" today.
The Mayor told a friend of mine the other day that they are "making a plan to make a plan to fix the streets, but they have to fix the water lines first. So, they are making a plan to make a plan to fix the water lines." Sounds like political BS to me... The water bill is ridiculous. We're either paying for someone else's bill or this is house they intend to pay for the magic plan to make a plan!
Be sure to check the expiration date on that medicine. I saw a news report a couple of weeks ago about some of these online pharmacies selling outdated prescriptions.
I made it throught the test, but I only passed two sections. Of course, the section that was the most important is the one I couldn't complete. I looked at fingerprints and palmprints for over 7 hours and could only match 8 out of 15. Now I have to wait for six months before I can retake the test, but at least I only have to take the fingerprint part and not the other two sections... I was very drained when that was over and felt like I had been beaten. Then, I had to deal with the stupid Dallas traffic. I finally got home a little after 8:00.
I'll talk to you later. Got a few more late papers to grade and then change their official grade in the gradebook. This "hurry up and wait" mentality drives me nuts!
Sleep tight!

Greetings !! Well, I guess you heard that Wayne from the accident passed away this afternoon. If I had been me I would have been trying to get someone to pull the plug on me. With all the injuries like he had there was never going to be another good day for him. Sometimes there are worse things than dying.
Made it to another doctor appointment this afternoon. The eye doctor, Dr Kelly, told me that the only reason that I would need to go back to see him was to see how they were doing. I am seeing so well in that eye that he was really surprised. That is fine with me. I will probably have to have the other eye done one of these days, but not until I have to.
Actually these sleeping pills are trying to work. I am actually getting more sleep at night when all the normal folks do.
I am so sorry about your examine. I know that those things are really hard, but at least you will not have to take all of it next time. You will make it the next time.
No, I don't have you figured out yet. I have not even mentioned anything to Johnny. LOL That would be too easy. I am trying to be a detective or something. haha I think it is neat and it does my brain good to do the extra work. Do you live on a street with 3 houses on your side of the block and you are the house in the middle? Have a really big storage behind your house? Do you know Graham Purcell?
I have got to head for be cause I took this pill and I think it is working fast tonight. Sleeping pill !!
Later.... Have a nice day.....

I live south of Main and east of Center. My house sits on a corner and we have a double carport in the back. We have a shop/storage shed that is the same color as our house, but is kind of blocked from clear view. We have a privacy fence... Enough hints for now... No, I don't know Graham Purcell. Is that you or did you think that was one of my neighbors?
I'm glad to sleeping pills are helping. It is not healthy to not get enough sleep. Did you know that you must also reach REM stage (dreaming)in order to get complete rest? It takes about 1 1/2 hrs to reach REM the first time. You cycle through all the sleep stages and start over. Each time, it takes less time to reach REM, as long as you don't wake up between cycles. Everyone dreams, but not everyone remembers. Did you know that if you don't remember your dreams as soon as you wake up, you won't remember them at all?.. Okay, enough of psychology 101.
Yes, I heard about Wayne. It is sad, but probably better for everyone involved.
The problem with screwing up on that test is that it will most likely cost me my DoD job. The government makes very specific requirements, and unless they can work me into the program in a different category, I'll have to start job hunting again... There are several jobs listed on a particular association website that I'm qualified for, but none of them are in Texas and would require that we pack up and move. There's Seattle, Lakewood Colorado, someplace in Kentucky, North & South Carolina, and West Virginia... I don't know. All I know is I can't pull my share on my current teaching salary, since I'm "part-time/when-needed. "
I'm glad you can see better. That will help you do your detective work!
Take care

No, Graham Purcell was a state senator from AC and he was a great one. He is old and lives in WF, but he comes to visit in town at times.
Well, I am back to page one, square one on my detective work. I guess that is why I never wanted to be a detective. But, I am an AC hardhead so I have not given up and I will figure the mystery out soon. LOL Maybe
I gave my wife too many choices of places to go tomorrow. I gave her Arlington, Burkburnett for their City festival, Scotland for their cennential, Olney city wide garage sales, Bowie Trade Days flea market. She picked Bowie so I guess we will head out that direction in the morning. LOL It is really too hot, but she is only 12 years younger than me so I can walk her down. Sometimes us old people surprise those young people. haha
I have not had a dream in so long that I cannot remember the last time. I took 4 of those sleeping pills last night and nothing. It says you can take up to 8, but I think I am going to try something else because I can tell they are not going to help. Guess I will get that prescription filled and check it out.
Gurl, you had better watch some of those jobs off like that. My wife sent out some resumes and she had one offer in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Colorado so I started checking for houses and the prices. Oh boy, she would really have a super fantastic job to make up the difference. I don't think she would go thought because her kids and family is here and she would not want to go off and leave me. haha No, if the price was right and the place better than this I would move.
Better go do some thinking about this mystery.

Hello, my mysterious friend!.. Back to being busy again. I have another class starting tomorrow and had to get the syllabus, etc, set-up. There are 28 people registered for this class! UGH! Most likely, at least half of them will drop before I have to grade their final paper (thank goodness). I have been assigned the same class, so this will be a piece of cake.
Again we go to the ER, this time for my son. He originally hurt his knee about a month ago. A couple of weeks ago, the Dr told him to use crutches for a few days and it seemed to alleviate the pain. Well, last night they scrimmaged against Windthorst and he hurt the same knee again. It was still swollen this morning so I took him to the ER and they x-rayed it. Nothing broken, but they decided that it is still sprained - they called in "Osgood Stellar Syndrome", which basically means that the tendon that holds his knee cap in place is sprained... So,.. again with the crutches and no football for 3 days. He has a big game this Saturday against WFSoutheast (the last game of the conference), so we'll see if he thinks he can play. They are 3-0 in the conference and 3-1 overall. If they win this game, then they will go to the playoffs to see who gets to go take players, and how many, to the Top of Texas "Pro Bowl" in November (and the playoffs will also decide who gets to be the head coach).
My hubby goes back to work tomorrow, but it is slowing down (not much sand & gravel needed at this time of the year), so he may not work long. I told him not to worry about it,'cause if we do wind up moving to WV it will be soon and he'd have to quit anyway. He said, "But that doesn't pay the bills." Duh, I know that, but we've been in worse shape before and survived,.. we can do it again.
My daughter has decided to join 4H, which is good. I was in it for several years when I was a kid and enjoyed it. She wants to show a rabbit, but I told her to wait on that until we know for sure if we're moving... That's about all there is for girls to do in this town until they get into junior high.
Well, time to go. COPS is on and we really like watching all of those stupid people!
Hope your sleeping better.

Well, it sounds like you are passing yourself coming and going. That is when I am glad that I am retired. When the work starts coming around I go off and hide. No, I went over and did some work fora little old widow lady and she was really happy. Seems that nobody in AC wants to work here in AC. It iss so hard to ge t someone to mow your yard and then they do not do a good job.
Sorry to hear about your son. That just goes like that in sports. If I had it to do over I am not sure I would even play sports in school. I got hurt a few times and now I have to live wotj the pain nearly every day,
It sounds like you have really been busy and probably and seens that you are going to be really busy. I guess should be w aorking, but there is not much around AC to do Guess I could pickup cans and bottles beside the roads, but then the gasoling woiud be so expenive that I could make no money. I guess Guess I make more money now doing nothing than I would doing something.
Hope you bubby does fine on his job. I am sure he will. I have been mowing, weed trimming, planting and all that kind of work and I am getting so sore that I may have to stop and rest my body. Things like that happen when you get older. I slept very well the last two nights, but I am not doing so well tonight.
My daughter in law is having a birthday so I think we will take them to the Cracker Barrel. They like that and we do too.
Does your hubby work for someone that has some trucks? I hope you does not overdue things. Surely he will not since he understands that is really dangerous.
Well, I am headed for bed so I am going to see if sleep.
I think I may know where you live, but am not positive.
And the mystery continues. ;asd' xzf;lsd Ib t

Aside from Johnny, I could probably call Sgt Ginger Harrell's dad, since he is probably the one that took the job after you left, to find out who you are. Can't remember his name, though, so I guess that's how impressed I am with him. LOL
Yes, my hubby works for a gravel company on Seymour Hwy. They also have a plant in Waurika. When they're really busy, he drives over 500 miles a day, but today he will probably only make two trips to Lawton and back to Waurika... The heart issue has made him stop and think and worry; his dad was 65 when he died of a heart attack, so he's counting the years saying he hopes he can have another 12 years. But, his dad lived a harder life than him - recovered alcoholic, several major injuries from car wrecks and the oil field, diabetes, etc. My hubby has had more than his share of injuries and problems, but at least he's not much of a drinker.
My kids want to go to the Cracker Barrel some day. It has been years since we ate at one; we used to live in Robert Lee (north of San Angelo)- a town smaller than AC - and they used to have one. I don't think it is there now.
Dan Gomillian at Lispcomb knows me fairly well. We were talking about the people in AC one day and he said it is amazing the number of people that will go to WF or DFW or OKC to buy a vehicle instead of supporting a hometown business. A lot of people, even the one's that have a long history in AC, do not really support this town, they just live here.
We have spent the last couple of days trying to get rid of crickets. My husband went outside to mow yesterday and he said there were so many crickets, it looked like the grass was moving! So, he sprayed the entire yard and the outside of the house... The only place for those nasty critters to go after that was INSIDE the house! They came down the chimney and through every crack they could find. We went on a "search and destroy" mission for about an hour last night and probably killed 30 or 40 in our bedroom alone! YUCK!.. And, my son is deathly afraid of crickets, so he had to scour his room from top to bottom to make sure it was clear.
So, what color do you think my house is?

Well, the mystery is on me this time. I wrote you a return last night and was surprised not to find it posted tonight. I guess whatever I wrote was not important so it just blew away.
I still have not found your house. I thought I had figured the whole thing out, but I guess I need some more work on my becoming a detective. I am not sure that I would even qualify for the dog catcher job. haha I thougth for sure that I had found your house and then I got to going over my notes in my head and I decided that was not it. LOL
Does you hubby work for Deluzie Brothers, mispelled,? I used to order the sand, gravel, asphalt and all that for the City. Boy, that driving a truck is hard on a body. Maybe he can find something lighter that does not wear his body down so fast. But I know a lot of drivers that would not trade their job for anything.
That was funny about the crickets. We have been chasing those things around here too. I bought two of those electric fly watters at Harbor Freight and we have had more fun getting them in the house. Ours came in the fireplace too. We have a bumper chop this year and I hope they are on the way out. We should have had movie pictures of you and your bunch chasing the crickets around.
I have already decided that we do not know each other. haha You would think working for the same employeer and living in the same small town that we should have crossed paths.
I hope all is going well at your house this week. I have been working around the house and trying to enjoy this cool weather that Skip was talking about, but I end sweating a lot.
Talk with you later and I hope this does not evaporate.

A friend of our suggested filling a bucket half full of diesel and setting it under our security light by the carport (yet another location hint). He said for some reason that crickets are attracted to diesel. The next morning, scoop them out and leave the bucket for the next round... He did say, however, that since my husband likes to put the dead and dying crickets in the fireplace and light it, that the diesel soaked ones should probably not be put in there! LOL
If you ever get to the post office between 9:00 and 10:00 am, we have probably seen each other.
Hubby works for Pitts Sand & Gravel aka E & A Materials... I am hoping that if we relocate due to my work that he is able to find a job that is safe and easy for him. He has had more than his fair share of injuries in his lifetime... We should have a hospital wing named after him!
Do you know CT McDaniel? He picks on me because I'm am a Yankee.
I, too, like the cool weather. Every morning I open every window I can and let the house air out. The AC hasn't been coming on until after lunch.
I have a phone interview on Tuesday with another goverment contractor. They asked me if I was interested in going overseas,.. HELL NO! They do have stateside positions, though... I located some other good options in North Carolina, Vegas, Arizona, and Colorado... There's a good paying job listed with ATF, but it is stationed in Washington DC.
Computers defintely have a mind of their own. I have lost several things - they're probably still on the computer somewhere, but damned if I can find it!
Well, guess I need to go. It is almost 9:00 and I haven't had my shower, so I will be getting to the post office a little later than usual today.

I know who your hubby works for. That is good pay, but the risks are so high and there is just not much future. I hope he can find a easier job because after we get older our bodies just cannot take the punishment.
I used to go to the post office at the same time everyday, but since my "No Sleep" nights it is usually the afternoon before I get to the post office. The lady clerk from Windthorst was running it two days ago and she said she just ran the guys off. The next time I went there Johnny's helper was there with her and she was eating that poor guy alive. If you have had dealings with him, he is pretty slow for the postal department. He has a hard time with his change counting and the stamps. I like him, but I think Johnny gets put-out with him at times. Guess we all cannot be perfect. LOL
My wife did some war on those crickets and I thought something had crawled in our closet and died. I finally found the smell coming from the vacuum cleaner, yep, those stupid ole crickets. I think they are getting worse at our house. We can be sitting watching TV and they will fly into you and hit the light shades and all that. No, diesel and fireplaces don't get along. LOL
I hope you can find a super fantastic job. If I was younger and wanted to make money I would have to go somewhere to find a good paying job. AC is about the worse place to have a job. My wife drives to Sheppard everyday and I feel guilty for her driving back and forth everyday. I feel that we might have been better off if we had kept her house in WF, but it was a big four bedroom house and we felt like we just needed to see it. There are many good jobs out there and if you are willing to relocate you can snag one. I have told my wife that if she finds a really good one and we like the location we could move. She has had some chances to go to San Antonio, but after we were there for a week while she was at training school we decided that was not the place for us.
Yep, my wife has been offered jobs overseas, but she will not do that. Some of her friends have and they are in Iraq.
Guess I had better sign off. I have been working out in the yard all day. My little neighbor lady does not have anyone to do her work so I have been helping her with some things. Boy, there is not end.....
See ya,

Have you ever thought about participating in a sleep deprivation study? My sister-in-law did and found out that she not only came out of the REM stage more than normal and was technically awake several times a night, but she was also told that there were multiple times that she stopped breathing! Well, they gave her an oxygen tank that she uses at night and most of her sleep problems have gone away... Food for thought!
I have a phone interview with a company in West Virgina today - should take about an hour. This is the big one and the one that I want... Tomorrow, I have an interview with the Lakewood, Colorado PD (also a phone interview). That one pays a little bit less, but the housing costs around Denver are ridiculous. Plus, most of them are asking for $25,000 or more for a down payment, and we won't have near that much left when we sell this old house... I would rather have West Virginia. There's so much to do there,.. skiing, whitewater rafting, Civil & Revolutionary War sites, etc,.. and they are within a reasonable driving distance.
Friday I have to set up my new class, which starts on Sunday. This should make life very interesting. I have 28 students in my Kaplan U class, so I hope I don't have too many with the this one. If there are a bunch, I could be bald by the time these semesters are over!:)
Where are they planning on putting that aluminum plant? I haven't watched much TV the last several days so I didn't know anything about it until I saw that you had posted a comment about it... Will it be like the one in Olney?
Time to run,.. the cable guy is supposed to be here sometime today to fix the line - my internet service keeps going in and out and the problem is with the way it is hooked up at the pole. They were inside the house yesterday, so hopefully they won't be in here today.
Take care, my friend!

Well, I hope that you get the job in W Virgina if that is what you want. They say it is beautiful there. Any place is going to look better than AC. Elaine is still getting some places that are looking good from the resume she sent on federal jobs. We will move if she gets a super job and the housing is right. No use moving if the housing is so high that you cannot pay it. So far she has not been offered any place that we like. She turned the job in San Antonio. We like to visit there, but would not want to live there. We like Colorado too. She has also run across jobs that want her to go to Iraq for a period, but I axed that. LOL Some of the places the housig is so expensive that there would be not way to move.Hey, she might try to put me back to work.
I have considered going to the sleep study clinic to see if they can help me. Elaine says that I also stop breathing in my sleep. I know that is not good for me. I know that I would do much better if I could get a good night's sleep. I am doing pretty well on 3-4 hours sleep, but that is not enough.
The new plant is at the end of the road you go down pass the footfield. It really is not too large and only works 5 people, but that will help. They had open house today and I messed it. I did not know about it until tonight. I hope it does well and they can get more interested in putting plants here.
Sounds like you are going to be busy with all those students. Good luck.
Guess I had better get off here and go to bed. LOL I am sleeping a little better with my new medication.

Gee, that aluminum plant is not far from my house.:)
Yes, when you stop breathing it is not good for you, even if it is for just a few seconds. You're depriving your brain of oxygen... Sounds like a sleep study would do you a lot of good.
I don't think I'd want to go to San Antonio either. Been there a couple of times, not real impressed... Heck, the total population in WV could fit easily in the DFW area!.. I found a nice log home for $119k in Salem WV, but it has a smaller lot than we do. We'd have nearly a half acre here if our property went all the way to the alley (hint).
The PeeWee football team has to play tonight. They are in a three-way tie. If they lose, they are done. If they win, they go to the playoffs... My son's team (midgets) has to play Saturday night against Iowa Park. They lost their first scrimmage to them, but they've gotten a little more fierce since then.
Time to get the kids motivated and ready for school. Hope you got some decent sleep.

Now I know why my brain does not work well. LOL I have not got enough oxygen going to it. I am sleeping longer, but it is during the day. The doctor said that if we could get my clock turned around I would be fine. That is what he has been telling me for a long time now. He suggested that if I did not sleep at night then do not sleep during the day. Well, I did that and after 3 days and nights without sleep I was getting pretty tired so I just slept most of a day. LOL I do not know about me...
Salem WV would be like paradise compared to AC. Seems we are having more and more people leave. Of course with that big plant coming to town we will surely be on the stock market soon. That log house is my kind of house. Now, I wish I had built a house outside the city. I had some property on Carter Road, not to far off 79 and then some property on up on 79. I helped Patsy Bates build her house right there off 79 on Carter Road South. I cleared 5 acres and had to get TXU to remove their poles and electric off it. I contracted with others to get the thing built and then we finished the inside. I lost a little money on that deal. We both were divorced and we were running around with each other and when she finally told me that I was a brother figure I knew it was time to move on. LOL I saw her at the Opry not long ago and she told me,Old Stupid Her. haha Then I moved over here and started visiting Plain Jane and she kept telling me that she would not be good for me. Finally I got the message and gave up there. Then a little later I married Elaine. I saw Jane at Oodles and she told me old stupid her. I took Jane on her first date way back when. Her name was Jane Huffman then.

I have been out picking up pecans. When I had my farm in Charlie I had a pecan orchard there. I had 110 big pecan trees and I picked up all the pecans by myself. The last year I was there I sold over $5,000 worth of pecans wholesale. Now, that is a lot of pecans. LOL I also had 120 peach trees. I better quit talking about my farm cause I will start crying. I sold that and purchased a storage unit complex and a commercial building complex.
I hope your little one wins. I coached the boys in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades at WF. They were really fun to coach because I did not think they were professionals. We had a lot of fun. Then the younger boys were my favorites to watch. I helped coach them and they were so funny. You never knew what they were going to do. I miss all of that.
You did not give me a very good clue on my quest to find your house. LOL
Until later.....

I don't think I've ever been this sick. I've had some kind of stomach virus since Friday and I still don't feel too good this morning. I didn't even make it to my son's final football game Saturday night.
Let's go over the clues I've given you so far: former CSI with WFPD, college instructor/stay at home mom, married nearly 24 years - husband is a truck driver, son and daughter in middle school, midget football, 4H, drive "soccer mom" vehicle (van), CT McDaniel call picks on me for being a Yankee, house with a privacy fence, storage building/shop in back of house kind of blocked from view by a carport, I live south of South St. and east of Center, property does not go all the way to the alley, not far from new aluminum plant, and I call Johnny "brat" regularly.
Some of those clues really narrow down your search to a specific quadrant. I'm not going to tell you the color of our house - I'm going to make you really work for this!:)
My hubby got laid off on Friday, so now we are temporarily surviving on my teaching wages, which come in once a month. He's off "hunting" this morning and has a good prospect already, so keep your fingers crossed... Hopefully I hear back from one of the places I applied to this week before I pull all of my hair out or it turns gray.
Lovely weather this morning. I told the kids it is to prepare them for life up north. They are excited about the prospect of moving to a place that has snow on a regular basis, but they really don't understand what it is like. Hopefully, though, they will find out soon.
My next class starts this morning with my other job, but it won't pay until about two weeks after the semester is over. That's kind of rude! But, at least it is only a six week course.
Time to get ready for the rest of the day. I'm searching the rest of the country (well, places I'd like to live anyway) to see if there are any openings.
Hope you're getting some much needed rest. Have you tried drinking a glass or two of wine before bedtime?
Take care.
