Carbondale PA Mexicans

I know several Contractors who hire Mexicans in Carbondale.

only reason you scum are purchasing prop in carbondale...is you cant afford it in N.J. or N.Y. and unfortunately we only get scum from there so dont call yourself "NICE FOLKS".

Doesn't seem like many of the locals can afford to even pay rent, much less purchase property.

Without us investing there many of these places would just rot and collapse. Locals would have less places to live.

We don't send our children to your schools, yet we contribute to their education via the taxes we pay.

We bring our hard earned NYC dollars to the area.

I am no slum lord.

My tenants love me. They cook for me, buy me drinks at the local bar, even call me up just to say Hi. Some have even verbalized the fact they consider me family. I have one tenant that will even do work on my properties for free, of course I always throw some money his way. I am fair in that sense.

Just for the record, I make enough money to buy property just about anywhere I please, yet I am modest enough to invest in "small town USA". I believe in America, and I believe this small sleepy town will one day awaken and rise to the former glory of it's mining past.

It's 2009, We live in a very different world.

We need to open our minds.

This is the only way we can bring progress to NEPA.

keep the mexicans in mexico...those dirty wetbacks!they smell like urine and never take a bath and they sleep in one bed with each other.keep them out of america !

I see Carbondale has not gotten any better over the years. It just continues to get worse.

As I read these posts, it feels like I'm going back in time. First off, why are Mexicans singled out as they are? I've lived in a very mixed area, which included Mexicans, and I've never had a problem with them. I've seen poor affect all races. I've seen trash across all races. Why is it that so many here are blaming Mexicans for all the problems in carbondale? I just don't get it. It's scary, almost like going back to Jim Crow times. I'm thinking it might be a good thing there are more Mexicans coming in.(hopefully assuming that they are here legally) You people need to learn to live with others who are not like you. This is ridiculous!

We good people, just tring to make a living like you, we do the jobs no one wants for half the price....there are 12 of us living in a small apartmant on Belmont street n Carbondale, cheap rent, we love it here, we have all our family and friends comming here too, much better than where we came from. so if you know of any apartmants please let me know. maybe someday i will run for Mayor..............

I once posted something regarding this singling out of Mexicans, but it doesn't matter. I for one am hispanic and have been mistaken for native american, chinese(?), and an assortment of other nationalities. One day, maybe 2000 years from now, we'll all be the same light coffee color but we'll just have different hair. What then? More names?

There are so many different kinds of illegals. Go read a book people. The ignorance on this site is incredible. I'm done with this topic.

absolutely. illegal immigrants come from everywhere, not just from mexico. There are also citizens here from all over the world. I'm thinking many of these people are too used to living in all white areas, period.

Before the Mexicans, they hated the Vietnamese, the Blacks, the Jews, Catholic Poles, Russians, and Slavs. They have to find someone to blame for their own faults and mistakes. Mexicans are just another group to blame.
