Now, since their is no solid science behind this man-made global warming religion we are going to get lawyers involved. Greenpeace et al get your nutty religion out of my business. Are we in a climate change cycle? Probably. Is it man made? Highly unlikely. When were the hottest years on record? The 1930's, think dustbowl, Al Gore's movie used data from NASA that later proven to be incorrect. The largest methane producers are swamps amd marshes. Some trees produce excess carbon dioxide. Please seek counseling if you really believe in the myth of man-made global warming.

Sun spots cause Global Warming. The sun spots have recently gone away. Using fossil fuels and burning coal causes Air Pollution, not warming. There is a difference between the two.

Thought it funny when the inventor if the Internet, Al Gore, went to DC a couple of weeks ago to peddle his global warming hysteria smack dab in the middle of an ice storm. He uses more energy in his Tenn. home a month that six normal households do. Hypocrite!

It's funny how the top elite in the new push to tax carbon output care about Global Warming but forget to mention that genetically modified crops and organisms are polluting and mutating Nature's gene pools of naturally evolved crops and organisms.

Boy, what a bunch of crap! There has been no debate on the issue of CO2 being a prime motivator in Al Gore's supposed "Global Warming" issue put forth in an "Inconvenient Truth," yet the city of Arcata is willing to waste its energy and tax dollars pursuing this. Another scientific meeting of climatologists, and physicists will take place in early March. Al Gore, James Hansen and other IPCC scientists have been invited to speak and make their case. Guess what - not a single one has accepted. And we all know why - they cannot make a scientifically backed case in front of their peers. More government waste and you expect the average citizen to just keep bending over.

I believe any "failure" of the above posters, in relation to the education system, is that they probably did get passing grades in science when science was still being taught in school. Now the "science" being taught is the "science" of "feeling good about the <insert cause of the day>". My son brought up some of the problems with the current global warming beliefs with his science teacher. Her only comment, without looking at his supporting documentation, was "that is what a lot on the right believe". Then she continued on ignoring him. How is that teaching science? When I was in school science was about investigating and experimenting with nature and the world around us so we could hopefully better understand it. Have the Global Warming crowd suddenly solved EVERY possible variable in the equation and have a perfect understanding of the processes involved? They believe they have moved Global Warming Theory into the realm of Global Warming Fact. Anyone disbeliving their new Fact must be spouting dribbel and are obviously incabable of understanding the superior intellects of those in the know.

I have to ask how Global Warming believers be so self-centered and egotistical to think that the amount of carbon-dioxide people create compares to the amounts of carbon-dioxide put into the system from such sources as volcanoes and other naturally phenomenon. Termites produce tremendous amounts of methane but because they aren't something that we control the global warming extremists never mention those.

Is actually quite close to the mark. It's not that they *must* be spouting dribble, but that they usually are. You can't expect to come ignorance of the subject and find some Amazing Argument against manmade global warming that all the experts have somehow missed.

Concensus??? Why of course there is concensus within the scientific community for global warming and we have lawyers to prove it.
"Green" will become the new "Organic" as clever hucksters get every-one to fork out the $ "green" for their products. Plus it helps if the government is involved to make sure you have no choice. The Socialist "Green" business people will reap their newly crafted profits. Democrat politicians will get their "kickbacks", "pork" and "earmarks". Poor people will find themselves unable to pay the higher costs because it's "Green" - just like "Organic" - making a mockery of "Social Justice". The sunspot activity that creats a solar wind of radioactive particles that affects the magnetosphere around the earth that reduces the earth's ability to repel ultraviolet radiation has subsided. The result is Alaska just experienced the coldest summer on record.

If you refuse to see the correlation between the lowered sunspot activity since 2005 and the recent reversal in the climate, particularly there in Humboldt County since December 2007 was the 8th coldest December on record since 1886, then you are in serious denial.
