I don't think you could call it helping with assimilation to give tips to people on how to pronouce the names of cities and towns- seems more like so they will be able to get to where they want to go.

This is as much for tourists coming here from ALL over (including THIS country) who may not be able to pronounce the many names of cities and towns with Native American or Spanish origin, but who very much want to get to these places to spend money.

WHAT in God's name about this article prompted you to slam liberals- yet again???

When I moved here a few years ago I couldn't believe it! The Floridians I encountered had the worst grammer ever!
all I heard was " that will be 5 cent please', and hers don't have no shoes". And those kids really didn't have any shoes!! They were running around barefoot in the supermarket with dirty faces!! I know better than to say that all Floridains were like this but ALOT were!!!!

No one who lives in Florida is from the South. It is such a mixture of dialects, how could anyone pin anything on Florida itself?

I notice that the highways and airways are not one way that bring culturally deprived northerners to Florida. They are more than welcome to turn around and return to the joy of Detroit, New York, Atlanta and Newark. God bless on your trip home.
