That's the least they can do. Who are we calling "The Poor" these days? People who work and are too proud to ask for a hand out? Those people will not show up. They will continue to struggle. The same peeps will show without their bags or boxes but will sure be sporting their entitled attitudes, it's guaranteed. Something is seriously wrong with the system. I know you mean well, but people will never change if we keep giving them everything. How about a class on how to prepare for a job interview?

Just so you know there are several working families that attend. This has nothing to do with a system, I are not connected to anyone. I saw a need and helped. If people are hungry and are in need yet they let the ego's/pride get in the way shame on them. There are many things that lead up to someone needing help with food, loss of a job, unexpected auto repairs, utilities higher than normal, unexpected illness or medical bills. I pray if you ever need food someone like me will help you! Better yet why don't you come volunteer at the next one and see for yourself just what really goes on. GOD BLESS YOU sick andtired

Just so you know, I deal with the public and 95% of the people that I have dealt with daily for almost 15 years are 3rd generation welfare recipients and let me tell you, they know every free service available. I don't think that pride is such a bad thing and that is what's wrong with this country. These handouts are taken advantage of. I understand, all to well,of the circumstances that could lead to hunger. Me and mine have survived through many hard times with our dignity intact and having learned a good lesson. It is called responsibility and taking care of those that you continue to bring into the world, all the while knowing that the present circumstances aren't ideal. I am not a moron, and I agree that no one should go hungry. I may have jumped the gun on this topic and a hungry child or elderly person is a different story. While you are shouting for God to bless me and suggesting that I volunteer, I hope that you remember that while you are giving a man a fish, I am helping him to help himself and feeding him for a lifetime. If this makes you sleep better at night then, hats off to you. I choose to help in a different ways by helping people help themselves. And may God bless you as well.

Well if you are dealing with 3rd generation welfare recipents for the past 15 yrs., then honey you need to look at the system you are working in. It obviously isn't working! You can't tell me your not getting children of parents that you have so called taught to fish. So until the system in which you are working with is fixed do not critize me for my efforts. If what you are doing is successful then I would not have hungry people knocking on my door !

For starters, after 3 generations of sponging off the government it's highly unlikely that the 95% of people that I am referring to will ever be anything other than a strain on the american tax payers. However, there are the other 5% that you failed to mention, that will claw their way out of a rut that we the people of these United States have made all to easy to fall into in the first place. They will learn from their mistakes and go on to be productive citizens and in this process will set an example to their children. And maybe out of those 5 % they will one day be in a position to the change "the system". Let me also clarify, that I do not work for the government but I am in a position where I am able to educate and influence the 5% in a positive way. And when looking at the big picture is success. This 5 % is what makes my job fulfilling and allows me to sleep at night. So, Kudos to you and your efforts. I hope the 5% show up. May God bless you, as I sense a tad bit of hostility in your post you may need it more than I do.

No it is the 5% you failed to mention your original post said that 95% of who you work with are 3rd generation welfare recipents...YOUR words. How dare you critize me for my efforts and the efforts of those that helped me. Trust me 2 free food mobiles are not setting anyone up for failure. Go spew your hatered elsewhere. You narrow minded views are not wanted nor needed here. You posting this crap to me will not change the facts in which you take issue with. How quickly you assume that the people that came to the mobiles were system sucking lazy people. How dare you assume you know anything about those folks. I will not post again. I do not have to answer to you and I sure do not seek your approval. This is over. Post your brains out!

When I was ranting about 95% of the people, I assumed that you could do the math and that you could assume the remaining 5% that I deal with are hard working people not looking for a hand-out anyway they can get it. The last time I checked I still have freedom of speech. Its not hatred, it is called running out of tolerance and tired of paying for able bodied leeches. I never stated that a food mobile was setting anyone up for failure, you assumed that. Would love to know how many of the people that came to the food mobile actually took the time to thank you or acknowledge all that you do? Possibly 5%? Did anyone of them ask if there was any way for them to help out with the next hand-out? Sad situation. Good luck to you and I am sincere when I say may God bless you.

One more thing, I know that you aren't volunteering your time and effort for gratitude, you are just following the rules of the game. I get it. Now, I'm done.
