New Arbyrd Site

New Arbyrd Community Site coming. What kind of things would you expect to see and do on the website? Chat rooms, blogs, forumz, music, news etc.. anything. Just post what you would like to see on the site.

I agree with you that arbyrd needs more in the town. They need to tear down the older buildings and get a grant to build 2-3 cheap metal buildings and rent them out. As far as the dollar tree in senath, I believe franchises have certain requirements as to the population of the town, not including the initial start-up cost which for a franchise is normally well over $200,000. As for the site, its just a place for the ppl of arbyrd to get all the news, etc.. in one place. It will also contain other things as well.

I dont think the town needs to get in the rental but we do need a mayor to be more concerned about trying to get housing for low income and grants to bring things to town but in stead we get a 10000 dollar concert mayor think of ARBYRD not of yourself

I agree with you YOYO. lol but this is about a side project site im buidling that will be a better place to express your feelings. Is there anything you would like to see one the site. This is a community site and will help the community get more involved with helping the town get better, dicuss topics that need to be dealt with, and lots lots more things cannot mention until site is completed.

I think we need a site that will give information about deaths and visitation of people from Arbyrd and surrounding areas. Sometimes it is not in the papers in time for people to attend visitation. Also put old recipes on the site. Let people know if someone is sick or needs help with things.

I think those are great suggestions too, but I would be interested in not only the old recipes but any GOOD recipes that anyone would like to share. Also, how about Birthday wishes. For example, my husband has a birthday and I want to wish him Happy Birthday and maybe I could load a picture of him. Maybe wish someone a Happy Anniversary and put a picture on the site of their wedding. Things like that.

Thanks for those suggestions as well. Working on hard to get the basic site up and running before the weekend is up. Just a quick note to topix users, when you do register for this new site, don't worry about your real personal information being shown on anything you post or do on the website. Whatever you choose for your user name thats what name will show up on the site. Profiles also have privacy settings so each user will be able to set what they want to show, who they want to show it to, or to not show it at all.

I think the suggestions are great

I see so many good suggestions and you sound like you already have an outline on what is wanted and needed. One thing I would like, if possible, is that people use their real name and email address when posting. This site is so filled with libelous material that I have to try to sift through to postings that are newsworthy or beneficial. I don't necessarily think it has to be a pristine site, but it should be one where each poster is held accountable for their post.

The site is almost ready for people to start using. You will be required to sign-up as a member to post blogs, photos, comments, etc.. when you do post something, what you choose as your username is what will appear on the post. This is the Arbyrd Site so it will not contain anything offensive and all the topix junk, so hopefully people will not have to sift through junk to get to the good news.

O.K., where is the improvement over this site?? If you're talking about a censured site such as the city now has, you will kill the site as the censor has killed the city run site. Are you that censor?

I'm really not sure what you are meaning by kill the site????? and no i'm not the one who built the original arbyrd website. Basically its getting an overhaul.
