Well what do you know. Currie, Dixon et al. have major scandals brewing and never is there a comments section at the bottom of the story. Funny how this one gets one.

Surf, hard noses like federal felon Ed Norris?

Jill, you're clearly overeducated for your job. If you disagree with the standards, then complain to whoever supervises you over there and tell them to fix them.

Also, Jill, if MSP are so incredible smart, why were they unable to detect that their boss, Ed Norris, was a criminal. Which either means you guys aren't very attentive or thought it was all right.

So what.....go back to the days (70's) of the "Catonsville 9" and the "Black Panthers" and the "Ku Klux Klan" and the "National States Rights Party". Police intelligence was the only group keeping them apart and demonstrations orderly. All the departments, federal, state, and local, shared information in an effort to keep the peace. The MSP? Well intentioned but ill-advised.

Some of the peace activists were members of the Society of Friends, aka Quakers. Some of the meetings were held in Quaker meeting houses.

Hmmmm. Quakers. I think the Quakers commit one heck of a lot of the crimes in the United States, don't they? Always calling for WAR, WAR! OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT! KILL, KILL!

Or am I just thinking of the example set by a single Quaker, the one who occupied the White House in the late 60s and early 70s? It's tough to figure out the mores and ethos of religious groups when one goes renegade. Kinda difficult to tell if they left the religion, or the religion left them.

I am retired from law enforcement and worked with MSP troopers. What always struck me in working with them was their lack of knowledge when it came to legal and constitutional issues and our legal history.
So, you're saying the handful of clueless troops you worked with for a short period in your 'career' suggests a systemic issue with MSP? You are part of the problem, attempting to used a broad brush to paint the entire issue. Now I must ask..was it the pushups? or pullups?

MSP had no say in the hiring of Ed Norris. Your beloved 1-term Governor Robert Ehrlich hired this guy, who came in and basically f@#$ed things up for a period of time. The Troops did not respect the guy, who was out of his element.

This whole thing can't be that important for the Lawywership David Rocah not to attend the press conference and send a lackey in his place. How would this lackey know what questions Rocah has? I think the ACLU is out of line and should be investigated for negligence. "it's very troubling to hear the State Police say they did nothing illegal or improper. Well, THAT would have been Rocah's clue to ask about that. And he didn't hear it, he heard it or read a transcript of notes from a lackey . This is a lawyer doing his job? I think not. Sounds like a hack to me.
Bingo. While the ACLU generally does good work, in this case David Rocah is no more than a tool. Hard to believe he's allowed himself to be pimped out.

John Q does not care about this. The Sun and the ACLU are trying to stir up an outcry but the only whining is coming from the ACLU and other so called protest groups. In other words: Who gives a f***!
And the various Senators and Delegates glomming onto this thing care about the rights of the 'protest' groups?? Not likely. Partisan politics, pure and simple.

Chasseur, as usual, you are on to something! Perhaps this non-story can deflect voters attention away from Currie, Dixon, Exum, et. al??

Hey Moron, who said that and where? If your going to respond give me exact examples, not some unclear nonsense. Show me and cite for me WHERE a GOP member of status thought political dissenters are a greater threat then drug dealers. Your post is ridiculous on it's face but since you insist on being stupid cite for me your facts!! Give me actual examples, "moron".

You can't tell me with a straight face that the people with no problem with spying aren't GOPers.
