To the man who called me N-word

I don't know whether I would be "civil" if someone was speeding toward my children, regardless of whether they were in the crosswalk. I am always especially careful for pedestrians in residential neighborhoods, precisely because you CAN'T always see around the car ahead of you (as the judge said).
Would the judge have been less offended if the person had yelled: "Slow down B###h" ? or "Slow down a##hole"? or a more racially-neutral expletive?
Anyway, he should be glad he could slow down in time for the children.

Attacks can and do happen in the US period no matter what color you are. The same situation you speak of could and has happened to blacks over the years but it is not broadcast as much if at all. Why do you assume that blacks are immune from the same crimes that happen to whites? Grow up and pay attention to what is happening in baltimore and it does not matter where you live or who you are.

Now what happens to white people in Baltimore when they go down the wrong street? They get gang beaten on buses by teenagers, they get harassed by armed gangs of dirt bikers, they may get shot, or they may be beaten and curb stomped into a coma by a bunch of thugs.

Calling the judge a racial epithet was flat out wrong. But let's get some sanity here. People call each other bad names every day. Do we really need to read an editorial by this weak-skinned judge about being called a bad name? If you let someone get you that upset over a bad name, you have issues. And let's not kid ourselves, blacks use the n-word quite liberally, so it appears it's only offensive when whites use it. While I have no use for the word myself, I don't like being told that I can't say something but another group of people can say it. I thought this was America. Just think if whites commonly used a word and then demanded that blacks be unable to use it.
