Hello. I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about what I'm assuming used to be Rutledge College. My mother graduated from there in the early 80's, but since then, she remembers hearing something about a name change or no longer being a college at all. I'm not familiar with the town at all, so I was hoping someone could tell me anything about what happened to it. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I attended Rutlege College in the 80's. I feel slighted, because as far as I know it no longer exists. I aquired an associates degree in Medical Administration. I made very good grades, and was hoping this would help me get a good job. Nobody seems to recognize that it is legitimate, especially since there is no address or phone number you can give them. I wish, since this college promoted itself as being legitimate, there were so course of action we could take to get our degree redeemed. Most of my tuition was covered by goverment grants. This was a Junior college or some might say a business college. I live in Spartanburg county, also I remember the college was also promoted by people outside at the unemployment office alot. I heard about it through a friend who attended at the time. Alot of adults went to college there because they could work and go to school. It had flexible schedules. I attended at night.

I found the links below on Rutledge College. This should at least allow you to have a transcript sent to your college. According to the information I found the name changed to Phillips Junior College and then it defunct or bought again. The links below should help you with information.

For South Carolina you can request your transcript by going to this link: closedcolleges.net/south_carolina.htm

For North Carolina:
http://www.ah.dcr.state.nc.us/sections/archiv...

I was a former student also, so I'm hoping this information is beneficial to us all.

I am a former student at Rutledge Business College in Richmond, Virginia. I attended in the early 1980's. I was trying to contact them to obtain a transcript. I have found that they no longer exist. The name was changed to Phillips Junior College, and now it has been changed again. Does anyone have a current update of the college? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Hello Fellow Alumni, I was also a 1982 gradiuate of Rutledge Business College in Greensboro, North Carolina. I know for sure that for at least my last year there the School was accredited and legit; however, I have not been able to find anywhere that I can obtain a transcript of my classes.

I admit, I misplaced my degree during transitions over the years and would like a copy of my Degree as well, but there is nowhere that i have found yet to inquire.

If there is anyone with this information, please forward it to me at cool61220@aol.com. I will be greatly appreciative. Thank you.

I also attended Rutledge Business College in the 80's. The building still stands but a church took over the building. I no longer live in Richmond but I often visit. I had a degee/diploma in Modern Secretary and had a graduation. It all was fake! They took my money and gave me a fake diploma/degree that no one will except.

I work at a university in transcript processing and found these posts looking for information regarding Rutledge College. Just wanted to let you know, the problem anyone may be having trying to transfer their credit or legitimize their degrees is that there is no accreditation information available in recent logs regarding this school. I did call the SC Commission on Higher Ed and found that the college was nationaly accredited. Anyone getting their transcripts should also request accreditation info. Hope this helps

I was a Rutledge grad in Richmond,Va. The link you provided doesn't steer me in the right direction to achieve my transcript. However the Presidents name at the time was Patricia Mayfield. I remember her well. I made great grades as well. How in the world can we find out transcripts. Trying desperately to continue my education and this is holding me up.

I was told in the 90's that Rutledge was based in North Carolina. However I have not been successful in getting my transcripts. Our graduation was beautiful. We were all so proud of ourselves. We even had a basketball team. Now it just feels like all of it never even existed. I still use it on my resume, but employers just always say "what college?" What do we do?

Here's the website information to get started in your search of your transcript http://www.schev.edu
It's the Va State Council of Higher Education. Go under FORMS AND GUIDELINES and then under third section entitled SCHEV FORMS. Click on the section entitled Transcript Search Form... fill it out and send it in with a $10 money order. They will search for your information.
Hope this helps!

I have also been trying to find this school I attended in 1981. The school was named Rutledge College Skill Center. This school was located in Atlanta, Ga. on what was then called Ashby St. The street has since been changed to Joseph E. Lowery. I am trying to go to school now and need a transcript, because I graduated with a 3.95 average. I can't locate any information on this school, or anyone at the Bd. of Education who has information. Please help if you find out anything.

I hope this helps, I was able to locate a contact person with the information needed. Go to www.sheeo.org/agencies.asp . Go to the state that you attended and call that number to receive your correct contact information.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
