Lois: I'm thinking right now about what downtown Santa Cruz would be like without the political dynasty churned out by Bookshop Santa Cruz. The only miracle about it is that any other competing bookshops were allowed to open downtown over the roadblocks set up by Coonerty and cronies.

Why would I shop at Bookshop SC when the Coonerty's own it, they won't listen to our Communities Concern so hit em where it hurts $$$. Sorry Ann Coonerty I loved you as a school teacher but your kids seem to have their heads in the sand.
As for Dell Williams I know the owners and they are on the side of our SC Concerned Residents/taxpayer/voters so I will shop there.
I will be shopping at amazon.com from now on thanks Bobby!!!

Bobby Zufall did NOT write about Bookshop Santa Cruz. Lois Trabing did.

However, Bobby Zufall DID write about building a 4 story parking lot next to the old theatre (new hotel)in the grounds of the current parking lot.

And Bobby Zufall is for banning cars in Capitola except for residents with garages, shuttle, cabs, and limos.

I guess my question is: If you're going to ban all cars in Capitola, why do you a four-story parking garage? Bicycle and motorcycle parking?

That was my thought as well. I think he meant the parking garage would be a place to leave the car while shoppers enjoyed the car-less downtown Capitola area.

Borders and Amazon both bent over backwards to help me. When someone has Smoothjazz music like Borders or the array of choices Amazon has, I don't quire understand the "cutesy" attitude downtown.

I get food, clothes, car, et-c., downtown and patronise several businesses there, but safety, panhandling, cutsy shops, and the insane growth of commercialism turns me off.

Bobby Zufall, you live in Scotts Valley and have no ocean view. Building a four-story parking garage would substantially change the skyline of Capitola residents who enjoy a view to the ocean or enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Perhaps you could focus on your own town and let Capitolans make decisions about our own town.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Pisces

You should have a lucky break today when fate steps in and takes a hand. For instance, a situation may seem to be heading for disaster when you're suddenly bailed out in ways you would never have imagined. However, this doesn't mean you can take foolish risks in the hope that things will work out all right because there's no guaranteeing that they'll do so automatically.
