IT'S THE CRAZIEST THING I"VE READ ABOUT . NOONE I'VE TALKED TO COULD BELIEVE THE VERDICT. HOW CAN A MAN BE FINE, ANOTHER WALK UP CONFRONT, FIGHT, NO ONE ELSE AROUND CLOSE,THEN FLEE TO THE WOODS AND THE MAN STANDING THERE STAGGERS, FALLS DEAD TO THE GROUND. THE NEXT PEOPLE AROUND HIM ARE TRYING TO REVIVE HIM. HOW DOES THE JURY EXPLAIN HOW THEY COULD THINK THERE WAS A DOUBT OF GUILT. DID ONE OF THE ARTICLES STATE THAT SHEP SAID HE KNEW WHO KILLED ROBBINS? WOULD THAT NOT BE WITHHOLDING INFO, OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE, INTERFERRING IN INVESTIGATION, ETC....SOMETHING IS GETTING READY TO GO DOWN IN LEE AND LOTS OF ANSWERS WILL AVAIL AFTERWARDS.

I did know Frank very well...regardless of his past...he shouldn't have been judged like he was. He wasn't on trial. Who had the right to take his life?? What made his any worse of a person than the so called "friend" that killed him?? I can't believe that he got away with murder.

Burley has always helped the polce out. he once got caught drunk driving and sent the police to his "friend's" home to bust him for weed. Burley drove drunk on home. As usual! Oh, I'm not saying it was the only time he drove drunk or was caught.

Frank Robbins was one of my relation when did this happen and who and why. It like this you tell cop what they won't and keep a watch be their informer and you got it made don't walk on the toes or go againist them. Lee co, and Jonesville stick together dirt cop, dirt lawyer, and dirt judges ask me I know because of lived there. Tell me more.

When the police and so called men of justice are asked who they are looking for as the murderer, the answer is that the case is closed. If Berlie is not quilty how can it be closed? I wish all the jurors could feel the way the family feels just for one moment. I don't know how they can sleep at night or even walk through Lee County with their heads held high. Someone should report this to a big city newscaster or lawyer and see if they can get it retried out of Lee County where justice might be served.

Frankie was my cousin and I loved him. He may have had his problems but he had a good heart. No drug abuse or alleged theft warrants a murder. I am shocked and confused at the outcome of this trial. I hear from family members who were at the trial that one of the jurors was SLEEPING during the testimonies. This is a shameful miscarriage of justice and I can't believe it can happen in this country. God Bless you Frankie. I know you are with your mom in heaven now.

This was a local jury that served. Yes, one of the jurors was sleeping and she is an employee of the same hospital that Frank's sister works at. There were also 2 other jurors that worked at the same hospital. This is the biggest injustice that I have seen in my lifetime. Now Berlie is purposely driving by the crime scene for no reason but to antagonize the victims family. He has also gotten a tattoo since he was released that has a heart with a knife through it that has blood coming down it as if to brag about getting away with murder. What a wonderful world we live in!!

you have got to be kidding about the tattoo THAT IS REALLY THE WORST I HAVE EVER HEARD & the sleeping jury WHERE WAS HINES??? i hope i never have to go to court for anything with a court system like that where is the tattoo? is it where its easy to see or does he have to show it to you just wondering

Unfortunately, the law states that a person cannot be tried twice for the same crime! Burlie can never be tried for this murder again.

The tattoo is on his arm where anyone can see it just like a trophy. And as far as being tried again Judge McElyea made it impossible to charge him for anything relating to Frank's death. Sometimes man's own law or God's law just has to take care of it and I do believe it will.

Did I read it correctly...In an article during the trial, BS had stated that he knew who killed the Robins man? If so, why not start with obstruction of justyice, not co operating, whatever, etc.
