I am so happy to see him go. When I was young our team dove against his team he was such a jerk. He would scream and yell...very weird guy.

It has been a long wait, forty two years for me, but this has renewed my faith in justice in this country.
I hope if there are others who were afraid to come forward before or hesitant to seek help will now do so.
And you are correct, Happy, the guy was also a total jerk.

He may have been a jerk, but he was an excellent coach and I never had any problems with him. I know for a fact that one of those who made a complaint about him years ago did so only to get back at him for embarrassing her in public at a diving meet. Don't judge until you have all of the facts.

Jane, what happened? What's the story? You insinuate that something happened between you and Candler. Please be more specific. You want others to speak out but you only hinted that something happened. Again, what happened?

I have to wonder Former Candler Diver, if it is as you say then why would Candler confess to these doings both then and again years later for another incident? It doesn't add up. You hint at Candler's innocence yet he admits his guilt at great cost. What about Jane? Is Jane lying too? Is this a witch hunt? The witches at Salem went to their deaths professing innocence. But Candler professed guilt.
