This "man" who was killed by the Mesa police offficer, was in fact one the most cordial, polite, considerate individuals you would ever want to meet. His name is James Deon Lennox. He was well respected by his coworkers at work and neighbors, and loved by family and friends. There is more to this story than is being told. I suspect the fact that he was a black man had a lot to do with why this police officer felt threatened by an unarmed man who had a little to much to drink. Mr Lennox was a law abiding gentleman who just returned from a evening at the club with his fiance and they got into a lovers quarrel. The only thing James Deon Lennox has ever been guilty of is being naive and caring to a fault. Just ask anyone who knows this man and they will probably share a story with you of how he helped them at some point in their relationship.

Steve is right! Everyone that knew JD (James Deon) has nothing but nice things to say about him. I have worked with JD for about 4 years, and have never seen him lose his temper. In fact, he brought a smile to everyone's face! He was loved very much, and he was a man that others strive to be! People can say what they want, and have their bias', but anyone that has ever met JD knew that he had the best heart of any man! He was loved and will be missed. He lives in the heart of everyone he loved.

another Mesa citizen bites the dust at the hands of the notorious Mesa Police Dept.Deadly force isnt always necessary is it Mr. Policeman? What about those tasers, and pepper spray? Living in Mesa, Az. is a gamble at best, you never know if calling a "cop" for assistance will cost you your life? quality of life in Mesa, Az. is fading fast!

My wife and I had the privelege of knowing Dee. He was a very good friend of our ex-daughter in law and our granddaughter, Heather Doty had posted a comment about him above. Dee was the nicest person and I do believe he was murdered by this Mesa Police Officer. I did alot of checking into Mesa Police Department's history of shootings and about 60% of them were questionable. They have had a tendency of covering their tracks when it comes to shooting incidents. I do not understand why there has not been some federal probe into this department regarding civil rights issues. I believe the truth will come out about Dee and I can only pray that justice will be done for him.

Deon was my sister fiance at the time of the incident. one month before his death my brother passed away in a car accident. Deon was there for me telling me to keep my head up. I feel officer kohler had no justified reason to kill my what was soon to be brother in law. i will always remember his smile and how much happiness he brought to everyone around him. He will truly be missed
