is it just me or does anyone else find it comical that patty donovan's "witnesses" are people she met on AOL? and not only are they people she met on AOL, they are not credible witnesses because they've been caught lying numerous times.
let's take for example, lorie. now lorie is a married woman who carried on a romantic relationship with a man she met from AOL. her husband, bill, had no idea about the little love affair that would take place on the computer and on their phone. i'm not too sure a judge or jury is going to give a lot of credence to a woman like that.
then there is brenda. brenda brenda brenda.. who has spent the past few weeks lying on your behalf. she lied so much she couldn't remember her own lies. she lied about flying to new york. she lied about flying to indiana. she lied about going to meet patty and her brother. la ti da la la la.. and so the swan song goes.... your last hurrah for brenda harrah.. a lie.

Aw.Patty hasn't left a post in nearly 24 hours. Could it be that she ran out of idiocy to type? No. My guess is she is trying to make a good impression on Greenfield. It looks like Patty finally understood what Maleah was trying to drill into her head about "stalking" on a blog. S realized Maleah was right about how she (Patty) was following her from thread to thread. She cut the puppet strings for a change.

These posts have been made by online cyberstalkers who don't know this individual personally but have encountered her in a AOL chat room. It has been going on since before 12/03/05 and there is an active investigation going on right now. I urge any individual who knows the identity of this Katie person to contact your local F.B.I office and they can take a report.

However anonymous comments left in the form of an attack, are seen as nothing more than a cowardly act. I use my real name in all correspondence, and make no attempt to hide behind anonymity.

If you have an opinion to leave in my blog, I ask you to leave your name and web url. If you don’t leave your name and address, I’m going to assume that you have nothing of intelligence to add to any of my posts. Therefore, I’m only going to trash your comment. I have no time for the anonymous coward. We all have freedom of speech, but with that freedom comes responsibility.

Freedom of speech was intended for far nobler purposes than defending some anonymous posters disruptive behavior. The fact that they must hide their opinion behind anonymity doesn’t say much for their character.

Are you aware that it is a federal crime to harass someone on the internet and not reveal your true identity?

“In 2006, President Bush signed into law a prohibition on posting annoying Web messages or sending annoying e-mail messages without disclosing your true identity.” Under federal law when you annoy someone on the Internet, you must disclose your identity.

It states

“Whoever…utilizes any device or software that can be used to originate telecommunications or other types of communications that are transmitted, in whole or in part, by the Internet… without disclosing his identity and with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any person…who receives the communications…shall be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.”

Some argue that the law prevents freedom of speech. I don’t think it does and obviously the law doesn’t either.
