My former husband was a brick layer for many years, and during these years he worked for both local companies (Paris,TX.) and those in surrounding areas for larger commercial masonry businesses. When I was pregnant with our first child in 1993, he was working with a brick layer from Hugo he had known for years named Clovis. When I first met Clovis, he was married to a girl named Jeanne and they had one child, a son who I remember at one time played baseball for maybe a Little League team in Hugo and apparently he and his team were good because I remember they came to Paris for playoffs at least once that I recall. He and Jeanne and of course their son lived in Hugo, and for some reason I am thinking they lived with her mom or vice versa. He was a tall, big guy with a braid or as they were called back in the day a "tail" and she was very pretty. Over the years we would see them here and there and I remember seeing her pregnant and later reading an obituary where it said the baby died at birth. I meant to send a card and floral arrangement, but (and I regret this even today) never got it done and after my ex and I split up in 2004 I never heard anything about either of them again. I used to run into them on occasion prior to this, or would ask others we all knew how they were and keep up with the family this way. For a year or two though no one I've asked has any news or has seen/ heard from them and I have even been asked if I know how they are doing. Anyone know if they are still doing like the rest of us and just trying to make it? I have also wondered if they had any more children as their son would be about grown by now. If either of them read this and comment, I will send something letting you know who is looking for ya'll so you can get in touch if you want. Hope you all are doing O.K.

As luck would have it, I just ran into Jennie a few day's ago. I had not seen her in years, other than passing. They are both doing good, and still living in Hugo. Their son (Charlie) is living in Hugo also. I think they still live in 2nd ward in Hugo around 3rd street. Maybe this will help in finding them.

I appreciate your letting me know that they and Charlie are doing well, and that they are still together, living near their son and doing fine. While they werent close friends and I've never been to their house, they were people we saw and worked with and I have just wondered how things turned out for them I'm glad all is well and again , thank you for the update.
