ANNAPOLIS - What a great place to live. Being within walking distance to City Dock, Ramshead, Festivals, Theater, history, Naval Academy, etc.
This town has it all.
PS: Several of these neighborhoods would be great for me.

Historic District - You are downtown and can walk to everything. There is a wide range in housing properties, size of property, historic or not, and waterviews all greatly effect price. A few have off street parking, ease of parking on street varies greatly from street to street.
Acton's Landing - New community in the historic district of condos, townhouses and single family homes. Prices vary widely depending on size, waterview, and has a few age restricted condos. Parking is easy with a garage on site.
City Gate - All brick townhouses built in early 1980's, located just inside the historic district, easy walk to City Dock. Most of the time if any are for sale, they are the best value by square footage downtown. Parking is usually easy on the street and HOA has off street parking for you and guests.
Murray Hill - Located downtown just outside of historic district. Depending on which street you choose walking to city dock is anywhere from easy to reasonable. Has a high ratio of upscale housing. Parking should not be a problem in most of community.
President's Hill - An established community a few blocks outside the historic district off of West Street and a reasonable walk to downtown. There is a wide range in housing prices and conditions in this community. parking should not be an issue.
Park Place - A condo community with a wide range of prices depending on size. Parking is easy via garage parking and is a reasonable walk to downtown, but a better option than city dock may be staying closer to home and enjoying West Street... to dine, and be entertained.
Eastport- Is located across Spa Creek and has a wide variety of housing types, conditions and price ranges. Many people walk across the bridge or take the water taxi to city dock. Walkablity and parking really depends on which street you pick. Parking is easy to reasonable on most streets.

I was born in Washington, D.C. We moved to Annapolis in 1952. We lived at #6 Randall Court, then moved out to Annapolis Country Club on Carrollton Road in 1959.
I loved living a block from the State House, used to trick or treat at the Governor's Mansion. Gov. Theodore McKeldin gave us candy and pencils himself in those days.
I've been gone since 1965, although may come to the 45th class reunion of the class of '66 this year.
Downtown Annapolis was a great place in those days with subs and LaRosa's and other great places to eat. The Harbor House was my first job. I was a busboy there at 13. I hardly recognized the downtown when I was last there in 2001.
We used to go to the drug store after school and eat fries and drink cherry cokes back then. There was a candy store and a pet shop next to Izzy's Barber Shop and Green Street Elementary.
My dad would meet his buddies for gin rummy at the Annapolitan Club on Church Circle, while I headed out to Pete's Pool Hall for some 9 ball. A kid could walk safely anywhere in Annapolis he or she wanted to go then.
Anyway, just want you to know I loved Annapolis then.
God Bless you, and Happy Easter.
