Review: Capital Group Real Estate Inc

This real estate company, or at least the agent my realtor and I tried to work with is unethical. They listed a house for which they stated they had only recieved one offer. They ignored my contract offer and refused to return phone calls and e-mails for several days, after which they responded they had recieved 15 offers on the property and had accepted a CASH offer for the property. They are shady and I would not deal with them. Veiw any properties they list with suspicion and do not get your hopes up. They are unprofessional and probably crooked.

I recently viewed a property listed by this company. My agent called and was told they did not have any offers yet, so we low balled and did not add an escalation clause. Two days later they said they had gone with someone else.

I find it very odd that another offer appeared out of nowhere for a short sale (with 0 pictures online) after it had been on the market for 38 days.

They weren't forthcoming with any information. This does seem very shady.

This should be investigated and I would say that anyone who is listing thier home with this company should be VERY wary. I wonder if they benefit in someway by letting these homes slip into foreclosure. The house I referred to before was being foreclosed upon and the owner told my realtor that the agent from CGRE never presented ANY offers to them, not our offer 12,000 above the asking price and not that 'mysterious' cash offer. I'll be that house goes to a 'friend' or associate of CGRE.

You can ALWAYS submit a grievance with the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors about any Realtor's behavior that is unethical. We have a code of conduct that the NVAR enforces very rigorously. Please do not lose faith in purchasing a home or Realtors, in general from a past experience. I know that I work constantly to provide excellent service to my clients to ensure their goals and expectataions are not only met but exceeded. It is possible to purchase short sales, foreclosures or lower priced properties in his market. Good luck!

I called at least three different agents from this company, which had active listings that I wanted to show to my clients, neither never returned my calls.
This shows a very unprofessional pattern.

I just tried to call these guys b/c my clients want some more information and, I wanted to see if they would accept a fha offer on the property (some short sales do- some don't). Phone has been disconnected. Amazing way to do business. How many loans would I fund if my phones were disconnected? answer: Zero I wonder how many homes they are selling? answer:?????

Unprofessional and very sketchy. Wouldn't return calls/ emails/ faxes from our agent when we were interested in buying a property. Didn't even acknowledge our offer even though the evening before the owners called our agent to see if we were interested and said that there were no other offers. The agent told them that "yes" we were interested and that their agent should be expecting an offer from us. The next day, we sent in the offer for the asking price (short sale) and got no response. Several hours later, the house was no longer listed as active and we discovered that they had taken another offer. Out of the blue? Pretty coincidental and not likely...

This company is the worst I've seen. Their agent never return calls or email on their listing. I don't know how the sell their listing. It is best to stay away from this company listing.

This company is a real estate fraud, they are listing short sale houses but not selling any. The properties finally lower the price monthly and finnally sold to one of their own. The banks and tax payers are going to lost their money again and again.

Now try to contact the Listing Agent, Pamela Alcantara and see if she answer your request. No one can buy this house because she not going to sell it to you.

This house is going to be sold for dirt cheap price (around $250) then come back into market again a huge gain (around $350).

Called to obtain info, the LA agent's wife spoke and barely was able to provide any info.
The offer has been submited and requested receipt confirmation.No confimation or respnse after 3 emails and 4 calls. two days later finaly I sepak with the "wife" to find out they have 8+ offers??
The listing is still Active!!

This will be reported to the appropriete boards and agencies to really look in to the practice.

As a Realtor, I am having the same issue with this company. I presented an offer for my client and could not get a response from the agent for over 2 weeks. At first she said she did not get the offer. I resent it and she immediately sent me a note back saying they were taking another offer. 2 weeks later and the house has never gone under contract and I have no idea whether she has presented the offer or not. Realtors are all licensed and have strict ethical guidelines. I will be filing a complaint.

Also, a Realtor, I started 6 weeks ago with an agent. First calling for a few days. once the agent answered, I suppose by mistake. I told her I was presenting an offer. I called back to see where to send it or present it and did not get a response until 2 weeks later!! Only after I faxed it to her broker with a message that after numerous tries I needed my offer confirmed. Now its been almorst 4weeks. In between the agent again probably by mistake answered and promised to call me and present my clients offer. That she had been out of the area. Its now been a week longer.
I too will be filing a complaint.
Agents like this are what give us Realtors a bad reputation.

Now she states another offer has been on the house she forgot about. She never returns calls then I realized her name sounded familiar. In 2008, she brought in several young clients loaded with qualifications. They took my then home off the spring and summer market and she did not resppond to my realtor at that time, a real estate attorney. We later learned her clients were out looking at other properties while my home languished with a contract from her clients and knowing the market was about to drop. Well, needless to say we were past frustrated with her/this company.

StAy away from them. Odd behavior.

Please file complaints against these people!!!! I started this thread in 2009 and these people are still operating the same shady business?

They continue to make money off of the taxpayers back.
