Now a judge, Grant V. Barrett does the bidding for Calaveras official's on and off the bench.

Judge Barrett subverted a court case that alleged foster youth abuse allegations, AB 490, work permit and school access and treatment.

Judge Barrett refused any documentation handed to the bailiff deputy Carter, Judge Barrett removed the responsible adult and appointed a youth's elderly grandmother to present the case (w/o documentation) that the court had just described as complex. Judge Barrett denied subpoenaed evidence and stated ' no evidence between the party's will be allowed".

Criminal Judge Barrett left a 15-year old African American foster youth to defend himself and found the minor guilty of all offenses.

The defendant's: Bret Harte Union School District, Joan Lark, and the Calaveras County Office of Education, John Brophy, months earlier were sanctioned by federal judge, Oliver Wagner, for lies, deceit, misrepresentation of the facts and fined $5,000 each. See Moser vs. Bret Harte.

Bret Harte Supe, Joe Wilimik, appeared in court with a Lozano Smith attorney, Elaine Yama (who was sanctioned) on one arm and former white collar FBI agent, James Wedick, on another; though the case required no attorneys. Yama later lied that she was in that court room. Bret Harte refused under the FOIA to release the public funds paid FBI Wedick.

Behind Trinitas and Judge Barrett's corruption lies the murder-conspiracy of Calaveras bldg inspector whistle blower, Steve Weber,(2007) Steve was given a lethal dose of heroine (cardiac arrest) while Steve was a state witness in a bribery scheme court case in Calaveras against bldg chief Ray Waller, who got a golden parachute. Judge's John E. Martin & Douglas V. Mewhinney, already concealed Weber's complaints through the grand jury---then the judge's murdered Weber---that's a capital offense. The court case was an elaborate hoax on the People that required the murder of Weber and the concealment of Weber's 10-years of documentation.

Judge Barrett was a criminal before the appointment to the bench along with judge's Martin & Mewhinney.

Representatives for the owners of the controversial The Ridge at Trinitas golf course appeared in court Monday only to have the judge delay setting a trial date.

Superior Court Judge Grant V. Barrett postponed the trial, stating that the court had yet to be officially informed of the bankruptcy filing by Mike and Michelle Nemee.

“We are suing the county for failing to deliver and certify an environmental impact report,” Mike Nemee said.“We had a contract with the county to produce a certified EIR in 12 months. Not only did they exceed the timeline, they also failed to produce a certifiable EIR. We are asking the judge to remand it back to the county and have them do it over again.”
Barrett scheduled the trial-setting hearing for Dec. 14 and estimated that the trial would last two days.

The delay allows the Nemees and the county more time to sift through more than 11,000 of pages of records that have accumulated over the past few years during the conflict between the two parties.

The golf course owners also must petition the Federal Bankruptcy Court for formal permission to continue the case, according to Janis Elliot, assistant county counsel.

The Nemees will be back in court at 1 p.m. Nov. 9 for a hearing addressing a second lawsuit they filed against the county that seeks to have the courts declare that their golf course qualifies as agritourism. Such a determination would overrule the Oct. 6 decision by the Board of Supervisors that denied the Nemee’s request that their 18-hole golf course be considered an agritourism activity.
