I think that it is important to acknowledge the efforts of the Laughing at the Sun Gallery in Mesilla. In this time of finacial diversity and upheaval owner/operator Irine Roane has managed to stay open, representing the works of local artists for more than five years.

Sherry Doil-Carter is an awesome woman. She was my art teacher at Mayfield High School. I even learned how to find Power Animal Island from her. Good luck to all artists in Las Cruces. I wish with all my strength that someday soon Las Cruces will have cool art galleries such as in Sant Fe. All it takes is money I guess, and people who believe that it can happen.
