An 11 year old would weigh enough to pull down the ceiling fan and its chain. Unless she took the chain off. And if she hung herself intentionally would it not be ruled a suicide????? Most suicides are accidental according to the mental health experts. Most attempt suicide only to stop the pain and get the attention (help)they are afraid to ask for outright, but they end up dying as their mind is not clear enough to plan for every last detail and timing.

Whatever the cause, I send my condolences to the family. No one should have to burry their 11 year old! And you DO have the right to your privacy. Readers are just concerned when they read about an 11 year old dying these days. So sorry for your loss.

Any of you ever heard of the newest thing with kids to get a rush called the "choking game"?

My condolences. A very good friend from up the way had his young daughter die within six weeks of her friends death. Same style.

I'm very curious about how she died. What do you mean "same style"? Do you know something we don't?

And by the way, the choking game isn't new, I've seen stories about it on TV for a few years now. Pretty scary. People really need be informed about what's going on out there and to talk to their kids.
