Police officer appeals firing

Sounds like another dishonest scum bucket cop to me.

You violated the trust of the police department, community and all your brother officers .. don't cry fowl now, you should know what consequences are ... just go away and take your medicine .. its officers like you that give all officers a bad name .. you no longer deserve to be a police officer ...

Theft is Theft-should an officer of the law be fired for theft?? Stupid question--Anyone else would have been charge already.
Would Leslie be expected, in his role as someone who is supposed to uphold the law ,be expected to arrest someone he caught stealing?? HA HA
Is there a double standard? I'm an officer of the law, so it's ok. I don't think so.
He does not deserve his job back. He should have thought of his family before he committed the crime. Now suffer the consequences and move on...You're the laughing stock of the town..........do you think you would be respected by the citizens of JT??

If he got fired for adding time to his time card why didn't they make him work it off??? How many hours were supposidly added? "The hearing will be public unless Leslie or the borough requests it be closed." Why have it closed unless there's something to hide!

Come on have a heart. The officer was adding time to his time card so he could inflate his salary to receive a better pension. When you're a cop that is not stealing they feel they deserve it. STOP the twenty and done and let the public servants save for thier own retirements like most do in this country and you will stop attracting the garbage we call the police.

I can see the replies already. They put thier life on the line every day. They have such a tough job. You know what? They knew this when they signed up and that did not stop them.

OH, poor Leslie, he has a family to consider, so says his attorney. Now we are supposed to be kind and keep it guiet and behind closed doors. Get real and let the whole truth out in the public. There is no more respect here for someone who is supposed to uphold the law, and STEALS..

When the chief wasn't looking he would punch me in for overtime, then he would take me to Boonies Fight Club for an AWOL gig. Afterwards, when the night shift was on patrol, he would sneak me back in to the station and punch me out. My ends were getting dog-eared, just like spank's partner from all the use in the machine. Some weeks I would be punched in and out several times a day. Other times, I would be punched in, and we would take a ride to Beaver Meadows for a while, and never go back to the station to punch out.

Does taking the illegal pay raise and not give it back constitute stealing? Then should there be a lot of legislators arrested for stealing? A judge ruled the pay raise and vouchers were illegal.

Attach their pensions with penalties and interest. Illegal is illegal. Why were there no formal theft charges. I would like to know the legalities since this was my tax money that was stolen if I could file theft charges? Once again, government officials thinking they are above the law. When will the bleeding stop!

It will stop when enough citzens join togerther and say enough is enough. Start an organization that raises voter awarness to such theft and practices. VOTE those people out of office. It does not get solved in a day or week or month but it can be done. My favorite saying is if you're in you're out. I will not vote for a second term for anyone unless I see change. Yep you're correct I've never voted for the same person twice.

Wow - You all must have read a different article then me. What I read is that he ALLEGEDLY faslified his time card. What ever happened to INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN guily?
I mean if he really did what he was fired for do you thinnk he'd fight it?
I'm sure there are things we don't know. So don't be so judgemental over a person that puts his life at risk to save your sorry tail!
