Two area hospitals chosen as area's best values

As a patient that has been treated at Palmerton, St.Luke's, and Lehigh Valley-it has been proven every time that my experience at Lehigh Valley has far surpassed any other. The state of the art medical technology, the compassionate nurses, and care of not only me but also my family- are traits I have not found anywhere else. I don't believe that Lehigh Valley is more expensive since insurance companies reimburse according to medicare standards-regardless of facility, but I believe in the motto "Garbage in-garbage out." I dare ask the rigor of the research that produced these surveys.

I have been a patient at Lehighton and Lehigh Valley. Have had family members that have been at Palmerton. Myself or my family members have never had any problems at Lehighton. Palmerton was a hugh problem. Lehigh Vally was nice . My only problem there was the only time a nurse came into my room was to give me medication or change my IV. The only people that asked me if they could get me anything or do anything for me were the techs or cleaning people. And as far as expense, yes it was more expensive at Lehigh. I've had the same procedure done since at Lehighton and it cost less. And I'm still living. EVERY hospital has their good and bad. But one shouldn't form an opinion on just one bad experience. I would go back to Lehighton & I would also go back to Lehigh Vally.
