I just wanted to add that you write things about parolees convicted of other crimes, but you dont know the real person. I have been married to Tanner Green for 5 years and i believe he is a wonderful person. I kow a bad crime was committed, but he sint the same as he once was. He has had alot of help. the help he didnt get on the streets. Jana Green

I just ran across your site and had to comment. Stanley Elms is my nephew. He was around me a lot as a child, teenager, and the such. I believe that for every action someone does, he has to pay or suffer the consequences. Stanley did something horribly wrong, something that can't be undone, and he has to pay for that. I will always love him, he is my nephew, but he is not a healthy minded person for what he did. Pretending or not, he needs counceling, not a jail cell, or a needle in his arm. Others out there, don't defend someone who takes a life, repair the damage if possible, or learn to deal with the mentality of the killer and learn from it. So that we may stop it in the future.

Stanley Elms is a monster...he raped me in 1996 so I know how mentally corupt he is...no amount of counseling can rehabilatate some one who rapes, decapitates someone then rapes the corpse...they deserve death.

I don't know who you are but you are completely out of your mind. You are just trying to get some attention for whatever reason but you are a very sad little girl

Well let me tell ya from a sister's view point. My brother is a very funny, light hearted, emotional person who is getting help. The fact that Regina Grey is gone is a important focus and that when my brother was sentenced to life..... I lost him as well. He may be to others as a monster or mentally diranged but i know him and who he is. The world will morn for Regina Grey... and only his family will mourn for Stanley Elms. As for Stanley raping someone in 1996, well my brother was locked up so you can't get attention by saying things like that sweetie. You must live a very sad life.

Gina Gray was my cousin. I think that its really easy for a family of the person that murdered her to say, "he needs counseling, he needs help etc" The fact is that he murdered, raped, sodomized and nearly decapitated Gina. What would you be saying if it was one of your family members that this had happened to?? Would you be recommending counseling then?? Ben Gray walked in his daughters apartment and found his daughter, can you IMAGINE what that did to him?? Gina was a sweet, caring, kind woman who would have done anything for anyone!! If Stanley Elms had needed something that she could have given, she would have. That is the kind of person that she was. If someone takes a life, then they DESERVE their punishment. Short of self defense there is no excuse for robbing another person or their family of their life. At least you can see your family member. To see Gina we have to drive to Smith Center to the cemetary. If you really want unfair, try being a victim. She will never know the joy of motherhood, marrying her fiancee, loving her niece. Murder is a crime punishable by life or death, if your loved one didnt want prison they should have thought of that.

One thing it is very important to remember is that our battle is not of flesh and blood, but of powers and pricipalities in high places. We often look at people who commit henious crimes and we forget the power of God in us. Such horrible actions often cause us to react in like manner, or to harbor hateful thoughts and feelings. No, it is not easy, but, if we were to pray for each other, it would make a difference. Too, we must remember Christ's admonition to love one another. My suggestion would be that we all read 1st Corrinthians, chapter 13 for a definition of the type of love I am referring.

I'm sorry but I dont believe in the death penalty and I know Tanner is sorry for committing his crime.....He ha told me over and over again that if he could change that day he would.....If you believe in the death penalty then your just like the person committing the crime and I hope God has mercy on your soul.I know Tanner loves seeing his family and no matter what everyone in his family still loves him and has forgiven him..

I can totally understand how the family of Regina Gray feels. I know first hand how it is to be a victim and to have to deal with the emotions of it. But to be a family member, and not get answers to "why" and "for what reason" can literally bound one for the rest of their lives. I stood by my nephew throughout his whole trial, because I believed that he did need some help, always did. His mother was not a very happy person and took it out on her children. But later in a phone conversation with Stanley Elms, he confessed to me and why he did it. Since then I broke all ties with him, and now live in the Northwest. I believe that somewhere down the line, retribution is going to happen. Prisoners always claim innocence or remorse. But not Stanely Elms. He told me in a matter of fact, non-emotional way of how he did it, to the detail. I have never heard anything more evil, until that day. And I never want to visit that again.
