If you are easily distracted and can't keep your mind off of your clothes or others thats YOUR PROBLEM. You have a very low attention span, and won't be able to survive in the real world anyway.
But your "we're there for an education, not what to wear" is EXACTLY RIGHT!
In proving MY point!
We're in a "free" country! Our schools are governments run! The school making you wear a uniform is taking away your personal freedom!
People look different, and dress different in the real world. There are distractions in the real world. Pretending thy aren't realy isn't going to help, it's going to hurt.
the bottom line is your going to school to learn not to show off your body parts and me as a student i realize i have the right to not have to see your body parts hanging out of your clothes like just last year before my school got dress code a young lady bent over a teachers desk and one of her breasts fell out of her shirt being that this is a free country I beleive I should have the freedom not to have to see a girl being revealed in the middle of a test.

LOL. I'm just sorry that the kids thought it was OUR idea! I at no point wanted to dress my kids up like little geek boys or spend money on these awful clothes when they have perfectly good ones at home.

My High School decided to whip up SMOD (uniforms) this year without enforcing the dress code in previous years. l can't seem to find any logic or reason behind it which just seems a bit ridiculous all in all.

We have a dress code at our school. I think uniforms should be worn at all schools, to help with learning, and bullying. I am always bullied for my clothes, not having designer clothes and all. If we all have uniforms I can't be teased for such a thing. I hope you feel the same way :)

I've been in both situations with wearing uniforms and not wearing uniforms...I personally go with either one. It just depends on the schooling that the parents have had, and it also depends on what school the parents think is best for their child. I personally like the idea of uniforms because it makes getting up in the morning so much easier than not having uniforms, plus you don't have to deal with the little Ambercrombie and Fitch bitches that want to dress real slutty...Everyone looks the same in the uniforms which makes the teachers lives a whole lot easier especially for field trips and other activities.

My kids attend a public school system in another state. The entire system has a mandatory uniform dress code that went into effect last year. Parents and kids made the same arguments I am reading here.
In the end though the board passed the required uniorm code and two years later the majority of students and parents are pleased with the results. Gang related activity is was down, discipline issues are down across the board and most parents have come to realize that the uniforms really are cheaper.
They work, they save money and the reality is the schol systems only job is to educate. If uniforms eliminate any level of distraction from the primary focus then they are a good thing!
(BTW...this is a large urban district with more than 50,000 students in more than 45 schools!)

QUOTE]hi thier is no reason that kids should have to wear uniforms wearing uniforms is like wearing a jail outfit yes you want your child to look nice and give a good example i think getting good grades haveing manners and respect for piers and bieng able to dress how they want is just fine your child will never be perfect yeah uniforms you dont have to worry about buying lots of clothesbut i think that they deserve to pick what they want to wear for school you cant live thier lives for them letting them wear regular clothes is a start on them learning how to make choices for themselves

if you ask me shouldnt our kids be the ones to pick and choose if they wanna wear uniforms why should you pick your not the ones walking out of the house uncomfortable how r they going to make thier own choices in life if your makeing it for them thats how i see my child going to school geting good grades is enough for me who wants to go to school and look at thier friends and see that thier are wearing the same thing how can you even tell which one is your child they all look the same what if someone was to enter the school and they didnt go to the school and was wearing a uniform how would you know you wouldnt know cause they are wearing a uniform yes its cheaper you dont want ur kid to be like everyone else you want them to be diffrent diffrent is very good give your child freedom to wear what they want it doesnt mean that you cant help them pick out thier clothes be an exaple to ur child everyone else is doing it because oh she says it helps no it doesnt it only makes it worse

we wouldnt of needed the dress code if the teachers would of inforced it in the first place. not trying to say it was their fault. but now even with the dress code people are sagging and showing wayy to much cleavage. and they arent getting in trouble for it. i even know some people who went to school wearing grey saggy sweat pants and a offwhite thermal shirt, and didnt even get in trouble for it. and now with the dress code its alot easier to get in trouble, kids who never get in troube are getting sent to detention for forgetting a belt. which i think is stupid.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Virgo

If something is weighing on your mind it will start to affect your health, Virgo. It might make you feel tired or depressed, or it could dominate your thoughts. You know what you should do about it, of course, but it seems like too much effort or you want to pretend that it doesn't exist. Unfortunately, this escapist attitude won't make the problem go away and might even make it more tricky by the time you finally decide to tackle it.
