No report yet on charges in case of Independence girl

This is horrible, charges should have been filed immediately. If it was someone else, someone that didn't have the money Kelsey's family has or if the skin was a different color or if the parent(s), aunt/uncle(s) & grandparents didn't work for the school systems, then SOMETHING WOULD HAVE HAPPENED RIGHT AWAY!! The FBI, KBI & ALL involved would have already had the charges filed!!
Things look as if Kelsey is getting away with everything!
Since this has happened, I heard on the radio that another girl with blonde hair, blue eyes & has a rose tatoo has left & no one has seen her & they say that she is "probably" still around Independence (thats just where she likes to "hang" out).
So you see, with this person (Kelsey) getting away with what she has done, others are also trying it. THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!!!
Kelsey SHOULD BE PUNISHED & NO if's, and's or but's about it!!

What's the hold up ? Seems to me there's enough on her plate for the County Attorney to chew the fat on. This whole Town is really upset on thinking Nothing is being done on this Matter. There is no excuse on what happen because all the facts are already in, I think the County Attorney is on Vacation or out playing Golf again instead of doing his Job, I have to agree with Valerie on this one ! Wrong Skin color or race, this has alot to do with it, We need better laws on these matters or We'll be the laughing stock of America. She (Kelsey) owes this State for what she done, what She done was wrong no matter how it's written. We'll end up on a while goose chase everytime a child cries wolf, and more Tax dollars will be spent out of our pockets too. Lets get the ball rolling and get this in court A.S.A.P. We got alot of cleaning up to do, before this happens again !

Chris that statement has a lot of truth, If one of my kids were to do what Kesley has done they would have been tried and sentance by now. Because of who she is and how much money her family has the town looks at up at them. Have to love the politics of small town living.

i agree with you, i just don't like the small town politics. she should have been charged.

So the lady that called 911 on Mcdonalds for running out of chicken nugetts didn't get charged for a crime either, are you tellimg me it had the color of her skin is the reason? She was black. Blows that theory.

Any one with a felony charge was not supposed to be in Queen Neelah, but Kelsey was allowed to. It has been 3 years, and she is alive and well at KU, wonder if she will try that there??

And as usual, it is not who you are, but who you know!! My daughter was in Queen Neelah that year, and I guarantee that a carpenters daughter with a felony would not have been allowed to participate. I guess it depends on what side of town you live on.....

I tell ya what, if that is ever the case for anyone in this town, contact me at home and as the son of a Neewollah founder and three-time generalissimo, and someone with well-publicized mistakes, and former member of the committee, I will go meet with the queen's committee and the Board of Director's with you or on your behalf.

Now may we put an end to this class warfare nonsense?

There was no felony involved. The individual was a juvenile. She went through the court system. She did not avoid or get let off easy. She fulfilled and exceeded all the requirements of the court. She is a productive citizen who learned great lessons from her mistake. She is still paying in many ways for her mistake. Little minds continue to be mean and vindictive but fail to see the many more serious activities in the community.
