Four busted for unemployment fraud

I was UI for 3 mnths (including the waiting period) before I found employment. I fell behind on all my bills. I am a single parent of 2 and my new resource was not making ends meet. With all the late bills to pay I became desparate and made the awful mistake to claim UI for four (4) additional weeks (my children are unaware of this) I am extremely ashamed of what I did. I regret it so much. Dont be judgemental... Its really hard to look at your children and wonder "what are they going to have for dinner today"? and it goes on and on..... even my credit got screwed behind the unemployment situation... Unfortunately desperate times make even the good ones make horrible decisions.. I mind was obscured by the thought of being homeless in NYC with my children...

I totally understand even though it is an immoral decision and effects many other citizens who pay their taxes. I dont know how the gov't thinks the current UI rate is enough to pay our bills and put food on the table.
