A sweet lady, I'm sure, but this is a perfect example of a columnist who can write about anything he wants, and is abusing what precious little space the P-T still gives to sports. Where is the sports editor, saying,'stop, enough!'
First a column that was no more than a change of address notice, and now this.
The Dodgers, Angels are on an incredible run, and this is the best Krikorian can give his readers?
I'm dating myself, but I can remember when Krikorian's opinions were relevant, biting and insightful. I still bet he has moved to Leisure World, and all but retired.

Hallelulah, the columnist finally gets to write about someone older than he is.

Aleen is an amazing person who can inspire every one who knows her. She's done so much to help children with a wide variety of problems.
We are one family in thousands that is grateful to her.

Unlike other commenters, I think it's great that Doug has profiles on locals like this fine lady. I do think that he should at least include some quick hits on regular sports at the end of these articles.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Virgo

You're finally at your best after relaxing and catching your breath for a moment. Now that you're rested, it's time to do some of the things you've been putting off lately. Make a sudden appearance to surprise someone from your past. No matter how many new people you meet, don't forget that old friendships are the glue that holds the relationship cycle together. Keep in mind that a present doesn't have to cost much, as long as it comes from the heart.
