Im writing this letter out of respect and honor for the former employees of the recently bankrupt Bischco Inc. As everyone knows by know all KFCs owned by Bischco closed their doors for good on Monday September 22nd putting at least 125 of their employees out of work. What many of you are unaware of is that this was done with absolutely no notice to the employees. We were all woken Monday morning with the message not to go to work anymore. No time to look for new jobs in a time where they are scarce. Now thanks to their decision to make everyone continue working and to file for bankruptys not only are they all out of a job but they will not receive the last two paychecks they are due. So thanks to the purchasing of a farm house, multiple utility vehicles, several horses, a lake house, pontoon boat, and a bad time in the economy said employees will be unable to pay their rent, make their car payments, feed their families and live according to their income and lower-middle class lifestyles unlike their employers.
They couldn't even tell their employees to their face what was happening. They hid what they were doing and what was going to happen and left it up to the employees to read a note left on the door explaining what corporate had done to them. Making them out to seem like the victims in the situation. Does NOT allowing your staff to take the daily deposits to the banks so that they pick them up personally make them the victims? They would keep these deposits without allowing them to go through the bank before they could claim their money. Even after an in store robbery they decided to continue down this destructive path.
Their posted letter wanted to thank their loyal empoloyees but when their loyal employees asked them about their unpaid checks that they were due the owners simply replies "Talk to the bankruptsy judge!" What their letter also failed to mention was not to bother trying to get in either. They were in their first thing Monday morning stripping out the store and changing the locks by six a.m. Any employee who had left any possession in the store expecting to return to work on Monday would just have to forget about anything they had in there.
I just wonder how long those of them who were paying their employers for insurance through them actually had real insurance. I suppose those employees who relied on those paychecks can look forward to no longer having any insurance as well.
Maybe those citizens of the community are better off not working for those kind of people and maybe we are better off for not giving people like that anymore of our money to fuel their life-style they couldn't afford themselves.
I find it unfair to their former employees and the citizens to now know what has truly been done to them. I know I will keep all of the recently laid off employees of Bischco Inc in my prayers as they try to find new jobs. Ones where they will be treated better than the one they had!
whatever

I feel really bad for the employees. I have been to Macon KFC a lot and everyone was nice and the food was good. I don't understand how it could go bankrupt.

It went bankrupt because the owners wanted to live like high rollers and have all these expensive things they couldn't afford so they lost it all! So they decided to make us all work for free. In my opinion they stole from every 130 employees that they made work and then laid off when no plans of paying them.

I luckily left KFC almost a year ago and Thank God for that. First off I would like to say that I could expect this shady business from a fortune 500 company about to go bankrupt. That is how corporations deal with shit. But the Bisch's were suppose to be upstanding loyal citizens. Which as we all know now that they aren't. Especially the way the screwed over my friends and ex coworkers. As far as I am concerned I hope the Bisch's are now living in there van...ohhh wait they probably don't even have that anymore. I guess they can pitch a damn tent until they find a way to screw someone else over. As for the laid off employees I hope all of you find jobs and make it through this struggle. Just remember you are now free from that grease shack he** hole. So there is something that should put a smile on your face. And as for me....I'm just glad I gave out all those Senior discounts when I worked there. Because all of us know they jacked those prices so high. That place was such a rip off! I'm glad it's gone and no longer do people have to get ripped off by Bischco.inc!

bisch needs to hide out in the woods, that is the oppinion of most in this county, he has been skating on thin ice for years, and should have been run out of town years ago, if you see him or his ilk, politley tar and feather them, and just remember some people are only alive, or their only reason for living is simply that it is illegal to shoot them, thats it, that is the only reason that they exsist

They claim the corporate revoked their franchise tag because they failed to relocate Moberly and Mexico. This is true as far as those two stores are concerned but they were told to do this over six years ago and put it off until corporate finally had enough of their bullshit. Maybe if they didn't put if off for half a decade then maybe they wouldn't have had these problems. The excessive spending most likely had a role in it also.

Shit my paychecks were bouncing months ago so I suppose I should have seen it coming!

three are in a uprising that I know of,And it is starting to look real bad for these three resturaunts even though they are already out of business, they have put up for lease signs, I feel real bad for any one that tries to re open these three, almost no one around these three counties will eat there if they do we take a real concern over what happens to our kids,we know that it is not corporates fault, but I for one will never patron ANY establishment that in ANY way works 125 plus kids for two weeks and locks the doors on them knowing that they will never get paid that is the most underhanded thing that anyone could do in these comunities but all the paper will say is that they want to thank all of thier employees sorry well unless sombody does the right thing it does not matter who opens them back up i will never eat there again I will drive to an honerable one and give them my money this sucks for me personally I never got to try those new original strips

The funny thing about the Bischs is that they could care less what happens to any one of the people they laid off. They go to church every week to make themselves out to be good people with valuable family raising morales but they are some of the biggest sinners I can think of doing this to people! Can you believe that they were actually allowed to house foster children? I guess they gave that up for the finer things in life like pleasuring themselves rather than helping others!!!!

Folks all well and good against the Bische's. I truely believe what goes round comes round. You get back what you give., So at some time in the future all scores will be settled.

But if the FKC's are leased out and are run by a new owner, do not take out your frustrations on the new owners. They are probabaly just trying to build a business as much as anyone and they will be taking a big risk.

KFC has good products and if you have good owners treat them as such.

To the KFC employee - from, one of my businesslaw courses i seem to remember that a in bancruptcy, unpaid waiges to employess and any unpaid payroll taxes are teh first ones to get paid. These items are paid beofre any other claims are paid.

Might I suggest that all of you get together and make sure that your unpaid wages are listed as liabilities of the bische's and the wages and any payroll taxes are included on the courts filings and petitions.

If the filing was done in macon cty you should have no problem getting access to teh filings. As always there are no guarantees that you will get payment and it can take a good period of time to get yuor $. But at least you are taking action.

Good Luck!
Vince
