Homosexuality

If homosexuality is a learned behavior then where did they learn it? I agree that some people are gay because they choose to be (I knew one) and it was the "in thing to do". But, I have worked with too many, been friends with too many and believe me, no one would choose to be gay if given the choice. When they were voting on making it illegal for gays to teach in public schools -- the people were afraid the gays would influence the children to become gay. My psychology teacher said he attended Catholic schools all the way thru high school, taught by nuns and priests -- and they did try to get their students to enter their profession -- but it didn't work -- unless the child was leaning that way anyway. So, that arguement didn't hold water -- just like saying that the homosexual behavior is learned.

I hear you! Why would anyone 'choose' a lifestyle where they are told their love is wrong, and even illegal?

Let me tell you both I love being queer as a 3 dollar bill. There's nothing I would rather do on a Friday night than suck down a long tall cold one if you know what I mean.

I believe that gay people have a screw loose and need mental help they do not need to be teaching our children for sure as a matter of a fact they probably need to be in a nut house if everyone was gay there would be no one it takes a boy and a girl to keep this thing going not a boy and a boy or a girl and a girl

Jeff B: when I was in college, taking psychology, my professor pointed out that he went to parochial school his entire undergraduate educational journey (elementary, jr high, high schools) and had nuns as teachers. He did not become a nun (or priest in his case). So, what makes you think that if they are a teacher they would try to persuade their students to become gay? Gay is not learned, nor in most cases is it a choice. Why on earth would anyone want to be something that is so reviled throughout the country? Why would someone choose a deviant behavior? Anyone who says that a person chooses this sexual orientation is the one with a screw loose and is just spouting rhetoric that has been pounded into their heads and they are too lazy to think or do any investigation for themselves. And, no, I am not gay, have any relative who is/was gay or anything like that. I believe that you don't chastise the person for their way of life. Some of my friends are gay but they don't try to persuade me any more than I pass judgment on them or try to persuade them to become hetrosexuals.
