you're right. the danbury fair used to be good.(biggest pumkin, largest pig) the big e is a bunch of "sham wow" guys hawking their newest cleaner, stain remover etc.

First, you wait in hours of traffic which is an irritating waste of precious gas to begin with. Then you get to the door and have to pay a fee just to get in which I think was twenty dollars the last time I went. THEN once you are in, you have to pay for everything else you do. So why do you even pay an entrance fee if you can't do anything without paying more anyway?

It's a waste of time. A nice county fair in upstate Connecticut is much more worth it.

I can't believe the writer put her byline on this article. It's nothing more than a Big E press release: no quotes, no reporting, no helpful advice.

Sorry but I love the Big E. Tickets are just $10 or you can get them from AAA for $8. The food is great and it's just good family fun. Where else can you get the zoo, circus, and carnival all in one place?
