This shouldn't be a felony. If they have that on the record they will forever be a burden to all of us. Unable to get a job or move on with life. They should be forced to spend hundreds of hours apologizing and cleaning up the mess. Teach a lesson to these youngsters and give them a chance to be better people don't make them my burden.

I am so in total agreement with you mmm456.
Just as parents have fallen into the habit of picking up after their children, we don't hold our community offenders responsible for cleaning up their messes. A little supervision would be less expensive than hiring a company to do the work. Or incarceration. Public apologies would also be good reinforcement. Having to undo one's "mistakes" a couple of times a person begins to understand why it's a good idea not to do it! Too many young man in our society practice antisocial behavior. It would be wise to avod the label until a pattern continues into adulthood. |
