A Montgomery County detective, while testifying yesterday in the death-penalty murder trial of Mark Patrick O'Donnell, rummaged through a box of pornographic movies, aphrodisiacs and exotic sex toys that belonged to the victim's mother.
Prosecutors have portrayed O'Donnell, 48, of Plymouth Township, as a crackhead sex fiend who was viewing Internet porn on Dec. 7 minutes before raping and strangling Ebony Dorsey, the 14-year-old daughter of his girlfriend, Danielle Cattie.

But in an attempt to attack Cattie's credibility, defense attorney Thomas Egan III yesterday asked Detective J. Michael Santarelli to display every sex-related item police found in her bedroom.

"We're trying to show that Cattie was the sex addict," Egan said outside the courtroom.

First, Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele walked to the back of the room and asked a group of teenage girls to leave – "It's probably not a good idea to be in here" - as Santarelli slid on a pair of rubber gloves and got to work.

Once again, Danielle Cattie has been proven a liar as she admitted to buying the sex toys, anal p0rn dvd, and other paraphenalia. At least one paper isn't showing its bias like the others that ignore the crimes and sickness of this female.

I think that losing a child is probably a greater punishment for Danielle than any court/judge/jury could impose. Yes, she made many poor choices, and engaged in sinful behaviors. However nobody in the media or on the web mentions the fact that Danielle has since made efforts to turn her life around. She gave her life to Jesus Christ, and repented of her sins. She is now a CHILD OF GOD, and SAVED, not all of those horrible things printed about her. The Bible says anyone in Christ is a new creature, and that old things are passed away. Jesus has forgiven Danielle. She has a church family that loves her, and is behind her, and praying for her. Yes, O'Donnell should pay for the murder with many years of jail time. However, we need to pray for him, and that he too gets saved. Everyone needs a Savior; Danielle, O'Donnell, those reading this, the courts, the media, etc. It's as easy as admitting one's sins, confessing belief in Christ, and asking him to forgive those sins, and come into one's heart. God will help Danielle to do right in the future. No matter what happens in court, God is in control of everything, and wants us all to turn to Him. Even Bin Laden needs a Savior, and he is not beyond Christ's reach. Why don't we start praying for Danielle, O'Donnell, etc. and less time typing and speaking criticism about a grieving mother?

Once again Maggie omits testimony, but in light of her on-going bias, it's understandable. The DA's so-called psychiatrist tried to imply premeditation, but had to admit, on the stand under oath, that his own buddies could navigate to their homes even under the influence. He also was not provided all the information from the DA or the police, so his testimony is based on being uninformed. This so-called expert kept stammering on the stand, unlike the Defense’s psychiatrist, who could not be swayed by the DA’s mouthpieces to change his testimony. He was firm and to the point.

No doubt O'Donnell deserves life in prison; however, low life mom, Cattie, deserves a sentence of her own! She allowed her daughter to be in the company of someone who had just smoked crack all day, and who was capable of God knows what. This smart and caring mother should be thrown under the jail for sentencing her daughter to death.

After lying about her role with drugs, etc. to get no jail time, this was mentioned in the news: The girl's mother, Danielle Cattie, 34, pleaded guilty in May to drug and child endangerment charges. She is scheduled to be sentenced in October.<br/><br/> "She's going to have to face time for her crimes ... and the loss (of her daughter)," Steele said.
