Rayvyn wrote: Peters township DOES have trick or treat nights. Fort loudon has one every year, as well as a halloween party/costume contest at the community center. Granted its not a big one, its fun for the kids and they get free cupcakes. Maybe public opinion ought to correct that? Then again its hard for me to imagine public opinion getting anything right... Do we know yet when this is yet?

I wish they would just pick Halloween, but for 35 years plus, Waynesboro has always had thier trick or treat on the Tursday before Halloween. I guess since Halloween is on Saturday, they are reconsidering it.

I moved here 10 yrs ago, & I'm still trying to adjust to the strange "ways". I guess it gives a person more opportunities for free candy.

Halloween is Oct. 31, why go trick or treating any other night? In Ocean County NJ, they usually have a big Halloween Parade in Toms River (the county seat) on Halloween night which a lot of folks like to attend so they sometimes say that trick or treating will be the night before so nobody misses out on either event.

Up in the Harrisburg area, they held ToT on Thursday again this year, despite Halloween falling on a Saturday. I'm also still trying to get used to the food, decorations and colloquialisms (wtf does "red up" your room MEAN??)
