Trick-or-treat nights scheduled this year

Peters township DOES have trick or treat nights. Fort loudon has one every year, as well as a halloween party/costume contest at the community center. Granted its not a big one, its fun for the kids and they get free cupcakes. Maybe public opinion ought to correct that? Then again its hard for me to imagine public opinion getting anything right...

How do you NOT have trick or treat night??? That is just bizzare. I never heard of Halloween being controversial until I moved here at the age of 22. I never even knew it was the devil's day or whatever it is called- It is what you promote it to be and for me it was nothing more than a really fun and looked forward to fall activity. Sometimes people are so radical around here it is hard to take... And YES I am spiritual.

What moron would schedule Trick or Treat on a Sunday evening, one its a school/church night and two the following night is the parade so that's two nights back to back that the kids will be up later than normal, I understand why it's not on Saturday due to the Hagerstown Parade but what about Friday evening anything would be better than a Sunday evening.

This should be treat or treat night. There are no "tricks" any more. All tricks are against the law these days, you will either be arrested or sued.

Any ideas on Edenville? Normally it is different than St Thomas.Thanks

Any idea why he prefers Sundays for Trick or Treat as opposed to Friday nights?

And keep your kids in your own part of town. I've seen kids that live in Chambersburg T or Trt'n in Fayetteville. Don't they have T or T in town?

Believe the mayor scheduled it this way, so he isn't bothered by the kids since he's helping set up for the "BIG" event in Mercersburg - he needs to do better constructive things as a city representative, instead of playing with trick or treat night!

Montgomery Township trick or treat usually is the same as Greencastle. But Greencastle changed things up this year so who knows what will happen.

Doesn't matter to me - I don't turn on the lights anyhow.

Don't you realize that Trick or Treat night offers the Holy Grail of Franklin County?FREE FOOD!!! Pack 'em in the car to hit Penn National, Guilford Hills, and Spring Valley in 2hrs.

Why is Trick or Treat "scheduled"? Where I grew up, you went trick or treating on Halloween. End of story. No other day of the year, no times scheduled. Halloween is Oct. 31, why go trick or treating any other night?
