This individual is clearly unstable. What about the fact that he was persuing a minor? The fact that she's close to 18 is a small one. He is an adult persuing a teen. I think we'll see his name in the paper again for something else if he's not ordered in to treatment.

Racer: Do we now punish people for crimes they might commit in the future? Then I request that you be locked up because I think you have the potential to be a criminal.

We should lock him up for mental treatment for something he might do in the future.

Maybe if we catch it before it happens, we can prevent it.

Use the six-twelve month sentence to treat him with the best possible treatment there is, don't just toss him in a rubber room and lock the door until his sentence is complete.

This way there will be a small chance that he won't end up doing something even more drastic upon his release.

This crumb ought to serve his time with the guy who inhumanly killed the cat, and used it for bait. This guy is a time bomb too. maybe they will take out their hate on each other.

I, like the other posters, think this is a horrible act. But may I digress and address the actual article and how it was written? Suddenly, the reporter starts referring to the name "Phalen." Never gives "Phalen" a first name or title. I kind of assume after reading the whole article that "Phalen" might be the sheriff, because Randy Ludlow also refers to "the sheriff," but never connects the dots. What has happened to journalism school instruction? I learned how to write a report about something for the school paper when I was in high school, and this would have gotten a D-. Thank you for tolerating my rant.

The behavior of this 21 year old "man" and his motivation behind this act is indicative of a sign of the times.

He allegedly did this because of 'rejection'? One can only wonder what kind of family he is from to cause him to feel rejected to the point of grave desecration! How long does one have to sit and think up something like this to get back at another!

He is a pathetic individual just like the one who killed the cat and used it for bait. Neither one of them have a true identity as to who they are!

Mrs. Smith; You couldn't be more correct! Reporters, nowadays rely on idiots like the cat killer and grave desecrator, just as well as 'idiot' like us who read it to create profit.'Hurry up' and get the story out for ratings! High ratings =$$$$. Accuracy is not as important as is it used to be!

Gee, he sounds like such a nice fellow. I wonder why the girl didn't want anything to do with him. Sociopaths need love too.

Just in case anyone was wondering I know what happened. Here is the truth behind the event. They were dating for almost 7 months and she borrowed $1500 and then she cheated on him. To try to get her to pay him the money back she told him that he couldnt prove it. So in retaliation he did this stupid act. I dont approve of it but thats the truth. THEY WERE DATING!
