1 one. But please get the facts straight before you start saying things. It was very dark, you don't expect someone to be in the MIDDLE of the road. There is no way I would sit on a back road with OUT a cell phone after just hitting something. I would go and call from help. You also don't know if she did not stop and look to see what she hit. I am pretty sure that on the news it said that NO ONE could see what was hit. I think this is a time for people to quit tring to turn an awfull accedent into more than just that and find a stronger relationship with God. He is the only one who can give peace and comfort to both families, because their is TWO families grieving right now. |

1 is no way she would have ever hurt anyone for any reason. She is a good christian lady and she knows she has to live with what happened for the rest of her life. It is a terrible accident and my heart goes out to both families. I pray thit God will comfort both of them during this horrible time. |

The spider thing just trips me totally out!!! COME ON!!! Speeding ticket (55 in a 35) and running a red light. By the age of 68, we know right from wrong. Do I feel bad for her? Yes, I do! But I feel worse for those little kids!

Ok this is all crap. She killed someone and left the scene. Didn't even return to offer help. I know she had to of had seen what she hit. Need to get the facts straight here. She killed someone end of story. I had a friend that was in a accident like that. The guy left the scene and spent time in juvenile.

1 Here's the basics about god. If it's bad, blame man and his free will. If it's good, credit god. If it's bad and somehow you believe god had a hand in it, then god works in mysterious ways that mere mortals like us could no possibly comprehend. Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? |

The truth finally came out. The older lady did call the SHP to report hitting something. Said she thought it was a deer. The 2 dispatchers on duty decided it wasn't worthy of a deputy to be sent to check things out. Come to find out they were wrong!! They have been discplined but not fired. Possibly that is what needs to be done. Remember, you can always second guess any decision, but this is one that the dispatchers and the older lady will have to live with for the rest of their lives. I think that is punishment enough!

Also, my mother is 72. If she hit something on that road at that time of night I wouldn't want her to stop and get out to check. That woman did the right thing by going home and calling 911. If she had gotten out of her car there is a good possibility that another car could have come along and hit her also. Moral of the story-If your car breaks down, stay in it, don't put yourself in jeopardy by getting out, you're much safer staying in. Also, if it is late at night and you are walking down a lonely road there is always the chance some pervert will happen upon you and kidnap you and do who knows what to you. Stay in the car with the windows up and the doors locked!!!
