So they beat him with sticks and boxing gloves and then get released on 500 dollar bonds. Is it any wonder so many criminals live in Wisconsin when you here about crap like this.

Seriously -$500 bond? This young man was at their mercy, and this is what they did? How does a mother treat her child that way? Sick people - going straight to h ***!

How sad for the young man....maybe the culture drives the need to chain up an developmentaly disabled person. Anyone know the asian culture enough to know this? I know that this is not an excuse to do this, but it could be a reason.

I am not against legal immagration, but they need to know that the laws here apply, not the laws or culture they came from. There is NO excusing what they did, and a $500 bond is a travesty. One other question, where is he now? Sent back to his parents for more?

I'm all for taking the parents and chaining them up to a pole in the basement so they can sleep on the floor and get beat with wooden sticks. Seriously, how much does it take for people to start standing up for those who can't do it themselves?$500 is a joke - they shouldn't be out. Hopefully the young man is in protective care.

The comments about the family being Asian and the fact that asian cultures chain their disabled children and beat them is IGNORANT. Go get educated before you start yapping with your 8th grade mentality brains. The crime they commited is wrong, of course, but race should never be a reason for their actions. If the family was white, can i say they need to go back to Caucasian Land? cause the USA don't accept such actions. Think about it.

Not only this story is insane, some of the people who post here are also mentally insane. Can a person make a general assumption about an ethnic group base actions of one or a few individuals? If yes, it's analogous to say that all white men have very VERY personal interest in little boys in references with headlines and the stories we hear about priest and molesting little boys. If ignorant people can agree with this, I can agree that all 'asian' people chain mentally ill people in chains and it's probably a cultural thing (being sarcastic for those with low IQ). I'll leave the chains, leathers, whips, fetishes, etc., for another topic.

I get your point, but if there is even an inkling of immigration status pending, they need to go. The rule should be if you GAIN US citizenship via green card or other means other than birth, revocation of your citizenship privileges needs to be addresses at some point when they break the law. Now granted it should be felony level or above, no deportation for a traffic ticket or anything. Even if they are white and from Russia or any other 'caucasion land', this needs to be a consideration.

why only 500 dollars bond each? even just being chained up is reason enough for me to have them locked up for a long time. being mentally or physically diabled is not a reason to lock someone up. embarrassment isn't a reason either. i know the family is from overseas originally, from the name, but they came here for a better life. there are agencies available to give help and support to this family so they didn't have to take care of this young man on their own, to lead them to do this to this boy. i have worked with mentally diabled people and they are the most loving and happy people. i am soory this happened to this young man.

But it's the US Govt. that let them out on $500 bond. That is a crime in itself.

The judge who set the bond amount needs to have his robes taken away. That's the most insulting thing about this story, that a young disabled man can be held hostage and beaten by his own parents and an official of the court gives them a playdate in return. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I call for an inquiry! As for the parents, if these charges are found to be true, may they know the fear and pain that they have put their son through. I wish I had the heart to feel compassion for them, but as someone with a disabled child myself I find this absolutely unforgivable.

Doesn't Wisconsin have a program for parents (that are not native to the USA) who beat their disabled children? I'm sure Minnesota does.

Don't care who these people are, where they came from, their race, creed religion etc... if found guilty... their sentence should include daily beatings.. whipping the bottom of the feet or something else that inflicts a SIGNIFICANT amount of pain and emotional distress
