Former Sheriff Busted For Meth

I pulled this from another thread, does anyone know if their is any grain of truth to this statement?

"In the past two days I was told by two men I never met in my life that Tim Ward was busted in West Plains Missouri while in the act of trying to sell a large amount of meth to an undercover police officer.

When Tim was arrested with this meth laying on a kitchen table he then claimed that he was trying to set up a drug sting on the man he was trying to sell the meth to.

This raises a question as to why was Tim Ward in another county trying to set up a sting and the officers of Howell County had not been informed by Tim that he was going to do this?

If Tim had followed the proper procedures and told Howell County law officers that he was going to try to set up a drug deal to catch a drug dealer then Howell County would have known that Tim was trying to set up one of their officers and the deal would have never gone through.

But Tim went there all of his own with a lot of meth to sell and as I've been told Howell County law officers rushed in the house and there set Tim with a large pile of meth right in front of him on a kitchen table and he was caught red handed in the act of trying to sell this meth."

This i wouldn't doubt, any way to find the truth?

Frankly, I don't believe it!! Sounds like a personal vendetta someone has against Tim. Besides, a former Oregon County Sheriff is just like one of us. He would have no authority to set up a sting even in Oregon County. I think someone has been baffled by B.S.

Give me a break or I should say give Tim abreak.... Trying to do a sting in another county is B.S. He may not be perfect, but who in this county can throw the 1st stone. He did the best job possible in the years he worked for us, didn't really have a lot to work with... even I was sit up at one time and his chief deputy (N.M.), put things my home that had never been there before.. but what goes around comes around. Natan M. was short little want to be and when MHP turn him down he took it out any one that got in his way... That poor guy that murphy hit and killed him self is now serving time for the suicide of a sick lawman.
Tim ward is not our sheriff anymore, so why all the crap talk about him.. at least he was on duty when it was his turn and usually even it wasn't ... Tim you did a good job for a long time and much better even after the death of N.M.

The deputies caught a couple skinny dipping in the river and hauled the mans girlfriend all the way to the court house and wouldn't let her put her bathing suit on. They searched the couples vehicle where they found an M16 rifle. Tim told the young man that he would drop all charges if he gave him the M16 rifle. Tim ended up with it and I heard had to give back after the boy told his father about being extorted out of the gun.

What thread are you supposedly pulling this stuff from I'd like to go to it and read it. put the link to the thread in here or tell us which city it's supposedly under and we can all read it for ourselves then judge it. I feel like you are just stirring the pot

Sheriff Ward was still the Sheriff when he was supposed to have been caught in West Plains trying to sell a large amount of Meth and he knew that he could use his authority to talk his way out of anything; plus he was connected with the Jones Brothers and other Meth Cookers like Edmond Reddish, Matthew Hayes, little Allen Jones, the Meth Cokker and Pipe Bomb manufactorer and all of these worthless scum of the earth have something on Ward so if any of them wanted him to deal drugs for them, he would have to whether he wanted to or not.

Dode Jones daughter may have been some money and he may have been trying to help her out since she holds the keys to a prison cell over Wards head and his Cohorts heads, the old Thayer Police.
Some man who is probably getting really, really close to exposing the murder of Willeen Joy Barrett, her son Brent Frisbee, Sheriff Jack Collins, and Gene Hollis of Alton has posted most of this story of Wards corruption on the Tayer Forums, "The Chesnut Inn Fire", "The Mysterious life of W. J. Barrett" and if that man is posting false information about some of Oregon Countys proudest then why does that man continue to be threatened over the internet if he doesn'y cease trying to get a homocide investigation started into the "unexplained" death of Joy Barrett and three other people who died under the same circumstances (almost) after these people because threats to exposing the Police Corruption in Oregon County Missouri.

I meant to say that Dode Jones daughter probably needed some money as a reason for Tim Ward reportedly getting busted for trying to sell some Meth in West Plains; she has Tim Ward and the old Thayer Police over a barrel because of that old Yellow Cadillac that she and Dode gave Norman Trimble as a bribe and she can still get some mileage out of that old Cadillac to get Ward to do whatever sge wants

Nathan Murphy was corrupted by Ward as Ward needed him to help carry out crimes under color of law; Murphy might never have been corrupted if not for the outlaw operations that Ward wanted to carry out; Murphy needed to live to tell the true story on Wards corruption which would have been unbeliable to the people of Oregon County whom Ward had kept snowballed for years by using his control over the Thayer News to have his personal, hand written news articles published about himself and his office so that the public would see only what he wanted them to see andbeleive.

Proud Republican, you don't know the half of Wards corruption and I doubt that I do either or ever will know; I know one thing for sure and that there are several dead bodies that knew something on Ward which could have put him in prison and destroyed his reputation forever.

You better do some more reading and get on the right side in this case before more people turn up dead who could testify aganist Wards criminal wrongdoings; don't get mad at the B-52 Bomber

Why does it matter now anyway? He is no longer the sheriff so he has no hold over anyone. If the things you say are true (I'm not saying that they are not because I don't know anything about it) then why doesn't people that have stuff on him come clean? There is nothing he can do to them now.

When I worked with Tim in 1991 and 1992 and he was the Chief Deputy, I never observed anything out of line. However, the want of money is the root of all evil. Dope dealers make a lot of money and sadly, not all of them are caught by law enforcement because there are too many in between the "kingpins" to take the fall for the higher echelon. It seems that we are hearing a lot more than we used to about politicians who have lost their integrity, or, maybe never had any to begin with. The latest to make the headlines is John Edwards, the Presidential candidate. Maybe that is the reason our country is going down the tubes. There are fewer lawmakers without integrity than those who have a lot of integrity.

This topic is really scary. You realize that some of the statements being made here could be considered slander if there is no truth behind them. If there is then I don't even know what to think. The majority of citizens here don't have daily dealings with the sherrif enough to know if they are upholding or breaking the law. I would feel so violated if I found out we paid someone to protect and serve and they broke our trust. This would be worth some research. I vote Joe K does it.

I doubt that Joe K could get time off from his Refinery Job at Wilderness where he makes The big bucks for him to do the investigation of the corruption that went on in Oregon County's Law Enforcement circle for some 15 years; not that he isn't bright to do the job.

First thing he'd need to do is question Richard Mitchell and get the truth from Mitchell on how the deal went down to get Mitchell to agree to provide the false eye witness testimony
that Ward and Trimble had to get from someone if they were going to pull of framing that Howell County Law Officer they feared might someday, like George Underwood, be elected as the Sheriff
of Oregon County.

They couldn't comprehend that someone besides that Howell County Law Officer might come along and get voted into the Sheriff Office.

They seemed to beleive that if they got rid of that Howell County Law Officer that they would
"control" the Sheriffs Office forever and that they would be able to get away with doing what they wanted or what they wanted to do to anyone.

There are cites that have stories of Police Corruption all over the United States; one is "corrupt cop story of the week", don,t have the names of the others right now but if you tap into that one I beleive it gives you more.

Justice in Marengo County; published in the 2000 edition of Readers Digest is about the best story on a Corrupted Sheriff getting busted by the
FBI and I don't beleive that this Alabama Sheriff's corruption could hold a candle to all of the illgal things Sheriff Ward carried out while in Office.

Linden Alabama News Paper Editors used their News Paper to bring Sheriff Roger Davis down.

Roger Davis was the Sheriffs name and his story of convictions are on the internet.

He even favors Timmy Ward.

There is also a strong rumor circulating out of the West Plains Hospital that Sheriff Wards wife was fired there for "stealing prescription" drugs out the drug supplies; the story is that they couldn't catch her in the act and the pills just kept disappearing on her shift so they had no choice but to get rid of her; might be interesting to know more about where those pills were going if this story is true.

I'm sure the Hospital Administration could supply some information on this subject to the FBI or some other Law Enforcement Agency.

I really doubt that it's a rumor.

Before the 1992 election we all thought that Tim Ward was good hearted that sugar wouldn't have melted in his mouth but Jr. Henry knew better
and Jr. stated that, that "boy is no good for this county" and I beleive that Jr's warnings about Ward have about all proved to be true.

There was a Group called the Guardian Angels at Thayer who searched for information of the corruption of Sheriff Ward and the Thayer Police
for some 15 years who kept track of nearly one who was found dead who were connected with the Matt Hayes-Edmond Reddish Drug Cookers and this group kept copies of nearly every news article that Tim Ward had published in the Thayer News and the West Plains Quill; Ward marched into the Thayer News when he took office and told the Editors and Reporters there that from then on they would only published his hand written news releases and these people were so scared of him that they cowed down and did as they ordered even though they knew they were publishing false stories about the Sheriff Department.
