Checking local police reports provided this morning to Z-1570, Alton police were holding 23-year old Kamran A. Mehmandoost of the 100 block of Lauren Circle for criminal trespass, possession of a controlled substance, possession of 30 grams or less of a controlled substance and resisting a peace officer.

My brother and I were racially profiled and assaulted in front of everybody at Saturday's Alton block party. The excessive force used by the arresting officer Conrad and other APD was more like the beating, kidnapping, and ransoming of terrorists that anything. For 6 hours I was handcuffed and never read my rights (like I had any rights that night). The way officer Rathgeb addressed and treated my family members was rude and sarcastic. My lawyer and ACLU should have a field day with this case.
