Mini Dachshund Gnaws Off Diabetic Owner's Toe

Why don't you try taking care of your dog properly, feeding and watering it and taking it out a few times a day (they don't need that many, only 3 or 4 times) and then it wouldn't chew on your foot.

Instead you had a dog killed because you're too damn stupid to own one.

So they killed the dog? What the heck? That's messed up.

What they didn't say is that gnawing off a toe either by a human or animal is a felony in Illinois punishable by death. I say we need to band together and repeal these archaic laws.

I can't beleive how you make fun of this. First off, the claim is ridiculous. I don't beleive it for a second. She was diabetic. Had a problem w the toe, and nerve problems. So she would not have known that the 'hangnail' probably got infected and gangrene set in and it could have just came off. It can happen with diabetics. I do not beleive it for one second. I would like to know the WHOLE story. And how can you be so cold hearted? I have been involved with trying to stop puppy mills in southern states that have become a haven for these puppy millers. I happened on this. I think a little compassion should be shown here FOR THE DOG. There is more to this story.

What I DO NOT buy is that this dog was vicious in any way and should have been killed. If she loved the dog, she would have found someone to take it. We’re not talking about a Bull Mastiff or Rottweiler gone wild! It’s my opinion; whoever made the decision to kill the Miniature Dachshund has more than nerve damage in a toe! <i.e. brain> Something about this story STINKS besides a toe!

MJR What is wrong with these people? Do none of you have any compassion? I don't think anything happened because of the dog. It sounds ridiculous. I would be asking for a further investigation..
