Liberals have no concept of sacrifice, or what it takes to be a hero. To them a hero is someone who raises taxes and takes away more of our freedoms. Look how they bow to Obama.

Well for all you F**** peeps. First politicsa has not place here no matter what side of fence your on. You politian rebels suck. I served in 2 wars and bet you life i really didn't give a damn which party my brother (GI) was with, we were on the same mission, to protect all all people, their beliefs, and the Constitution of this great country.

I salute all past, present, and future military members who believe and will (have) fought for the rights and freedoms for those who are able to post a comment here, even the one who bring up politics. Get real and be thankful!!!!!!

21 1/2 yrs in, with 11 deployments under my belt. One thing ive found, when everyone caring a weapon politics go out the window and we all protect eachother.

If you want to honor people in the military give them quality equiptment & parts, quality food&water, Manpower & replacements to meet the need, time & ability to train. And then proper medical care & support.

To Honor our Veterans FIRST Let Them Not Be Forgoten. Second Help them with their wounds. Third Give them the ability to be viable Citizens again.

to all my Veteran Brothers&Sisters I dont just remember you today but all days.

To everyone else who thinks this is just a job i offer you my job!

<quoted text> Are YOU a Vet??? No, didn't think so. Im not sure what YOU think Democrats have done for US. But then YOU are just beating the drum for the Democrats, right, whether they have done anything for anybody or not. The V.A. hospitals, Doc's are over loaded. They have THOUSANDS of Vietnam Vets, Korea Vets, World War II vets to try and take care of. Many of them, the problems are simply old age now, complicated by War injuries, illnesses. And then everyday they have the troops from Iraq, Afghanistan coming thru the doors with missing body parts, PTSD, burned so badly their Momma wouldn't know them, and TBI. They, WE don't see your Democrats doing any more for any of these troops. They do make a lot of speeches today, yesterday, next Memorial Day, next Veterans Day. But where the hell is the money for more Doc's, hi-tech medical equipment. We got Murtha(D) scheming MILLIONS to support his Son's business, Polosi(D) scheming millions to support her husband's business, bridges to nowhere, MILLIONS for an airport that has 3 customers a week. Tax evasion, foreign bank accounts, living in Government rent controlled properties (Rangel-(D). So yes, we can be happy with everything your Democrats are doing to US. And Obama just continues to make it worse. So far everything that he and your Democrats have touched, turns to **IT. And the bottom line?? Obama and your Democrats will continue the war in Afghanistan and Iraq just BECAUSE.
Damn! What a great rant and rave in support of socialized medicine! How cool is that!

Unfortunately you are just flat out ignorant! You really need to quit listening to the hate, watching the Fox LIEs, and reading WorldNutDaily.

You conveniently forget about the pallets of cash (at least $5 BILLION) that disappeared from Iraq. You forget to mention the no-bid contracts to outlaw companies like Haliburton Blackwater, KGB, etc.

Remember who started the illegal an immoral war? Remember who sent troops into harms way ill-equipped, based on LIEs?

Remember what administration said the oil would pay for the war?

Remember what administration said the troops would be welcomed into Iraq with flowers and chocolate?

Remember what administration appointed a political hack to run the VA? You are aware that President Obama has General Shinseki in charge, assisted by Iraq war double amputee Tammy Duckworth.

Remember what administration claimed that PTSD was just a ruse by the troops & if they found Jesus everything would be ok? GOD, THE ARMY, AND PTSD - Is religion an obstacle to treatment? http://bostonreview.net/BR34.6/mckelvey.php

"WE don't see your Democrats doing any more for any of these troops." Remember what Oklahoma redneck RepubliCON has put a hold on the Veterans health bill? SENATORS CALL ON COBURN TO LIFT HIS HOLD ON VETERANS BENEFITS BILL. http://thinkprogress.org/2009/11/09/coburn-ho...

If "Keating 5" McCain hadn't been a 3rd generation slat, he'd never have made it into the Academy, and if he had he damn sure would have been washed.

Had he not been an Admirals son he's have washed out after his 3rd or 4th plane crash.

Had he been following orders and procedures, he wouldn't have been shot down.

Had he had a sense of decency he would have treated his first wife a hell of a lot better.

Had he had any honor he would have never played political wh0re and supported Dubya in 2000 after the racist attacks on his daughter.

A spoiled egotistical bully....just like Dubya.

Oh yeah...the "Hero" go look up "Songbird" MCcain, then you know why most officers would be caught dead in his "holy" aura. He's a total fake, and not once every supported any Vet bill that wouldnt hurt us or put us through more hardship. But hey he's par for the course as a conservitive "Hero". He's the Carrie Prejean of combat vets.

Thank you for your service. My husband is a Marine and I am AF. We were not drafted. I was trying to find a purpose to my life. Wish I had done some things differently, but it all worked out ok.

Hubby and I went and had a good meal. We paid for dessert and that was all. Drinks would have cost. All we had to do was show our VA cards.

Look it up gunslinger. Republicans have a nonexistent record of supporting the military. The only thing they support are the defense contractors that line their pockets.
Aboard my ship when Mccain showed up about have the flag officers made a point of not showing up for good old, John "Songbird" Mccain.

It is so sad that some of you cannot just say thank you to the veterans and current servicepeople. You have to come to a nice place like this forum and spout your negative political garbage. Who cares who you do and don't like in whatever office today. We are here to honor our fallen comrades and those who returned safely from overseas. To honor those who served here on our own soil, to honor the families who gave their children, fathers, mothers, aunts, uncles, children, and finally to honor those who serve today and the many tomorrows yet to come.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

You are right slowpokey. I would like to thank my father, my brother, my uncle and my father-in-law who passed away in February and was a WWII vet, in the U.S. Navy. Thank each and every one of our fallen and current soldiers for keeping our country safe and free. There is no greater honor than to be a part of a military family.

The one group of servicepeople we forgot, when mentioning all who served, and serve. We always talked about active duty service. Remember and honor the reservists.

I figured this post would degenerqate into some people posting politican agendas instead of honoring the troops. Figure those that criticize vets and post BS are the ones who wouldn't lift a finger for ANY reason to defend this country and our freedoms. They are disgusting human mung and aren't worth responding to. They are the ones who refuse to admit that dirtbag in Ft. Hood was a terrorist. I wouldn't pee on them if they were burning up.

Inane and jingoistic reflective "honor the vet" without pausing to ask why their lives have been sacrificed would be irresponsible. "Honoring the troops" is a political agenda and it is the political agenda of those on both sides of the aisle.

When the 'patriots' support illegal and immoral wars based on LIEs, how in the hell are they supporting the troops? When mercenaries are allowed to murder innocent civilians as they pursue a Christian Crusade financed by the American government, how in the hell is that 'honoring the troops.'

BTW: The wack job at Ft Hood was no more a terrorist than any other whack job who engaged in a suicidal mass murder spree. Now Timothy McVeigh - That was a terrorist!

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Aquarius

Avoid making promises today, or even believing in other people's promises. Today is not a good day to make commitments, as they are not likely to materialise. Taking risks is a no-no. Try to relax until the numbers are in your favour. Those pursuing their career will benefit.
