I hope in the end the kids have learned more than just that they might go undefeated. Did they learn to play the game; no matter what the score; did the show good sportsmanship after a win. It's really not about going undefeated its how they show themselves after a win; that will be remember. A coach installs good behavior at this age so they will know how to play as they grow older. Coach also makes sure that the sideline is for the coaches and players only, and remembers its all about the kids in the end, more parents and coaches need to realize this.

No they don't always act like we want them too; but we need to teach them about more than just winning because you don't always win. Their alot kids that play sports but have bad attitudes..As a parent and a coach I always teach yes it good to win but what everyone looks at is sportmanship(your behavior after a win or loss).

I have two sons. One on this team and another that has not won a game. I have told both that it is about how you play. However, when a kid is on an undefeated team, it gives them great confidence. This has not been nor will it be the only time one of my kids go undefeated. The season record does have a toll on confidence. I say great job to the coach and all the boys. They play with all their heart.

Helping Confidence on being undefeated; that shouldn't be what builds confidence, Confidence should be about you being involved in the game and doing you best; but not just thinking that a few kids are the stars and your just there for the ride.

There aren't any stars on this team. It is a real team effort. The kids that put forth more effort do play a little more but all have played. I encourage all kids to do their best but sometimes if their best isn't good enough to win, they get down on themselves. I as a parent encourage them not to feel this way but they will go through it. I have three boys and have been through the ups and downs of many seasons. It just happens that this team is doing great and should get props for it.

All I'm saying is there more to a game than winning. I have watch these young people practice a couple of times and wonder about the real "team unity" that was being shown!!! So I will not be giving any props but saying good job, that implies you need to but one over the other when everyone deserves a good job.

No its parents and coaches that need to be teaching this especially at this age. Some players don't have parents that take the time to even care or come to there games to be teaching them!!! Be proud but see the bigger picture.

Can't anyone just give them the credit of winning without argueing and downgrading each other? Why does someone always need to find fault in someone else? If you can't be positive, stay out of the conversation.

I cant believe the negativity from a parent. Coach never said the game was all about winning. Winning is simply a goal for the boys probably the easiest for them to understand. These boys have encountered alot of the leadership principles to being a great athlete just watch em play what do they do when a player gets hurt no matter which team what do they do after the game? Watch these boys they are a good example of what a team should be. Quit hatin!

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Aquarius

The atmosphere in the office is stressful. Learn to divide time in a planned and phased manner. Beware of starting a lot of new things but not having the time to finish any of them. Mental overload will burn your busy and chaotic schedules and health problems may crop up all of a sudden. If you party with friends this evening, don't make it too late.
