On the other hand, in all of human history, in every single culture, no matter what the religion or not, gay unions have never been fully accepted. Never taken root and spread. Never. Anywhere. Even when they appeared, it was minute, brief and never lasted. The question wasn't if homosexual marriages were accepted, but if they happened. You claiming they weren't fully accepted suggest they did happen, which would mean marriage hasn't been only between man and woman.

Ya fuck that. Good thing my entire life doesn't revolve about not offending pricks. If it doesn't hurt you, it's none of your business. I do disagree of there being sexual activity on a public beach and such a thing should be cleaned up if going on. Getting on the case of gays just kissing while ignoring the heterosexuals doing the same is just straight up discrimination though. We brought it on ourselves, lol. I love how whenever a gay person does something wrong it's on the heads of the entire gay population, as if we have some special gay taskforce to control individuals.

Joe Fortuna wrote: <quoted text>Now I really hope you don't think this is proof that marriage has always been between 1 man and 1 woman. This is from 2010, if you have something newer that disagrees with it post it. A law allowing gay and lesbian couples to marry comes into effect on Thursday in Mexico City.
The law, which was passed by the city's local assembly in December, gives gay people full marital rights, including the right to adopt.
Several gay couples are now expected to register to get married as early as next week.
Mexico City is one of the first capitals in Latin America to fully recognise gay marriages.
Judith Vazquez and partner Lol-kin Castaneda hope to become one of the first couples to marry under the new law.
"It's the end of our fight and the beginning of life in freedom in Mexico City," Ms Vazquez told the BBC.
"This is a great, historic moment for the whole of society in Mexico City," added Ms Castaneda.
'Symbolic closet'
With this law - and previous legalisation on abortion and some form of euthanasia - the Mexican capital has become a liberal and progressive island in what remains a mostly conservative nation, says the BBC's Julian Miglierini in Mexico City.
But local gay activists say homophobic attacks are still frequent across the country, where people continue to face discrimination in the workplace for being gay or are attacked when displaying public affection to a person of the same sex, our correspondent adds.
Both the Catholic Church and conservative groups oppose the legislation, and the centre-right government even tried to get a ruling by the Supreme Court to block Mexico City from issuing gay marriage licences; they have so far been unsuccessful. in Mexico there is a civil union the legal part of a marriage and then the religious ceremony that is done in a church I posted this information for you many times The legal certificate says civil union and the certificate from the church is marriage And virtually all churches have no banned gays from getting married and even ban openly being gay There are a few people that have started there own church to hand out a quotes marriage certificate What is issued by the government here does not say marriage.......... And yes the gay community is now treated worse than before the were granted equal legal rights but they gay community has only itself to blame

And that pisses you guys the hell off. You would treat us right though if we'd just shut up, accept our lot in life, and blended in as a hetero...hah...yes because you wouldn't even know who or where we are to mistreat. It's our fault for not being what you think we should be and that gives you people the right to mistreat us, riiiiight.

Here Is One wrote: <quoted text> the majority vote and say you must where a seat belt People voted and certain gun right were taken away or returned Applied equally to everybody. Not only heterosexuals or homosexuals. Demanding everyone wear seatbelts, what rights is that taking away, the freedom to not wear a seatbelt? Is it harming a group of people forcing them to wear a seatbelt? Gun laws change all the time and are often about making sure all those damn guns are being used safely. They are in place for a reason, to protect the rights of the gun owner as well as the rights of everyone else without a gun. They aren't taking away or changing rights without good reason, that being protecting the people. What good reason is there for preventing homosexuals to marry. Who is it harming? And are you saying we SHOULD get to vote on slavery then?

Children who bully other children for being different, learn that behavior from their parents. Children of same sex couples are bullied and teased by children who have been taught by their parents to dislike homosexuals. Which cause the most harm to those childrens psychological make up. And that is a whole different issue from the one we were discussing. Did you get confused, or were you trying to confuse?
