I know it's difficult to accept change, but we all need new industry here in the valley and growth is inevitable. We just need to make intelligent choices on which businesses make sense for the majority of residents! Growth and financial success is good for everyone!

I own property across from the proposed airstrip and would be in the flight pattern as the planes circle to gain altitude. I do not wish to see more small aircraft directly over our place. There is no benefit to me or any of the other neighbors affected by this new private airstrip. There are a pair of nesting eagles with babies right on the border of this property and the Perkes Hereford Cattle Ranch. The planes will fly directly over the nest and the calving barns of this ranch. Over 70 neighbors attended a "Community Meeting" on July 8th and protested the approval of this fly-in subdivision. Apparently the county and the developer do not care what the neighbors think!

Growth is inevitable, change is always welcome, however how is a private airstrip that will service a few people in a gated community? This is purely a "he has one so I need one" thought. There is a paved airstrip less than a 10 minute drive from this proposed airstrip, so again how will this make sense for growth and financial success of the valley? Remeber that this is a gated community as well, gated communities do not care about what happens on the outside wall of their community. The only time that they have any interactions with the "majority" of residence in these small communities is to get what they want, then push them aside.
