Obama's hope and change at work. It's going to get worse folks. Most people in El Paso voted for him so enjoy the ride.

Gosh, don't tell the CAD or they will take this jump in foreclosures as a sign to raise property taxes.

According to the appraisal method they use, whatever goes down is really going up.

Good old Texas way of doing business, mess with the Texans. It isn't bad enought that we are struggling to get out of this deep hole Bush and the Republicans left us in, now we have to fight Texas Taxing Districts like CAD. It never ends....

Bobby, just wonder what the hell they expect in El Paso. It is the fourth poorest city in the NATION, probably first or second in Texas. Lowest wages, lowest standard of living. Hell us peons in El Paso just can't afford the constant property tax evaulations, always followed by another tax increase. And the local politicos, Mayor Cook, the City Manager, Hospital boss and school superintendents are always after the last drop of blood they can suck from El Pasoans. And then they are surprised that people are losing their homes and just can't afford to live here anymore.

Excellent! All while El Paso's government continues to approve building permits and further saturating the housing market with homes, before long there will be way too many homes vs. buyers and our property values will go the same way along with the rest of the country (down). Good job by our elected officals once again.

And all the while, builders are still building these instant houses up Northeast. Construction has stopped on many of them. Many streets lined with unsold houses all grown up in weeds. It's long past time that we had a Public Corruption investigation of the Mayor, City Manager, Central Appraisal and these home builders. It's all about kick-backs and pay-offs. And yes, Cook is always ready with ANOTHER tax increase as soon as he picks up the phone, calls CAD and tells them to do ANOTHER property evaluation.
