Who would you like to be the mayor of Mayfield?

Please voice your thoughts. Everyone seems to want change. Who would you like to be the mayor of Mayfield? Please explain why you like them and why you think they would be good for Mayfield.

Somebody that would be fair. Somebody that will treat all of the city fair. If you live on Golf Cart Drive or the Arbors you can speed party, and ride your golf cart without getting into trouble. Their storm damage was also cleaned up first. Some parts of town are still not cleaned up. They say you can not ride a off road vehicle in your yard especially in the south part of town like on the worst streets but yet you can ride a golfcart drunk all night long over on Golf Cart Drive and nobody does anything about it. It is full of Doctors, Lawyers Realtors, and business people who do what they want. It is not fair.

So does anyone have a name of a person, that would be good for Mayfield. We know we want this one out, for unfair treatment. But who would be fair to everyone, we need an actual person to replace him.

Wayne Potts would be good and has been good. He is not a Country Clubber or an elitist.

He is no Country Clubber, but he is the one that put Tim Fortner in as Assistant Chief. That by itself shows poor judgement. He just wanted a person he could control. The present mayor is no better at making fair judgements. We all know that, he thinks everyone is stupid except his friends.

You have to live in the city in which you are running for Mayor....

You also should know how to spell the word "truly" if you're going to run for any office...but then again, our own President doesn't know the proper way to pronounce Nuclear....

Is anyone up for the job or have someone in mind that would make changes for the good? I am ready for an honest knowledgable person, that has an understanding of government. Some people think that with just one point of view, that this is enough to make vast changes. You have to be willing to work with all parties to come to a common good for everyone. Be willing to give and take.

We need ppl in the city offices that has no other motive but to work for the city of Mayfield to make it better.Like Mayor burns-Insurance Agent,Tom Waldrop-Realtor,Phil Myers- Myers lumber company they have other motives but they are voted in office the only to get them out as you know is to vote them out.

You can't vote them out if no one else is running...Very good point though..

I'm open to suggestions too if anyone knows someone who is ready, willing & able w/ no other motive than to make the City the best it can be..

I think Mark Waggoner would make a decent Mayor, he seems fair and willing to listen. He alsohas been on the city council for awhile and knows how to work with in the system.

I think he lives in Paducah now but Roger Creason would be a good mayor for Mayfield if he were to move back. He's been involved with law enforcement in Mayfield, he's been very involved with counseling youth, coaching baseball, and is very well liked in Mayfield.

in addition, since Roger Creason won over a million dollars in the lottery, he'd probably do the job for free which would save tax payers money.

Mark Waggoner is a good person but we need someone who don't own or operate a business.And Roger Creason is ok to lol but do it for free I don't think so.But I would vote for him if Ilived in the city limits.I think that anyone that works or owns a business inside the city limits should have the rite to vote for city officials.
