Country Girl wrote: well i was told his first name was david they are being real hush hush about this Don't you think? Nothing being said about how Streat Died. First off I think everyone needs to learn how to quit talking about stuff that they have no business in. I knew Dr. Streat very well and he was one of the best doctors around. Beyond having a great knowledge of medicine he cared for his patients as if they were his family. Not many doctors would give up so much time to help ppl outside of their normal working hours. Dr. Streat moved numerous ppl into his house to watch over when they were sick because they couldn't pay for the hospital or they wanted someone close by while they were sick. He would sit up all night and watch over his patients and everytime one would pass it would take a part of him with him. There will never be another doctor as caring and wonderful as him. I don't think anyone can understand what a loss that Alma has had. As far as his death nothing is being hushed because of an investigation and I know there was no investigation going on of his office.

Dr. Streat was a fantastic Dr. with a wonderful heart. There was an investigation around 4 years ago, but it was brought about by a disgruntled employee who was trying to cause trouble for him. There was nothing found.

Dr. Streat was a good, caring doctor who went out of his way to help sick people, often ignoring demanding payment which seems to be the main thing these local doctors are worried about. One exception to these kind of health care providers is Dr. Streats nurse practioner, Ms. Pam Lee. She still works in Dr, Streats building and goes way out of her way to help people coming to her clinic for help and if they lack money for medicine she either gives them samples or prints out discount coupons on her office computer. I don't know where he is now but another nurse practioner, Greg, worked with Dr. Streat and was also was very good and caring. Nurse practioners can by law do most of the things doctors can do and they do it with compassion and less emphasis on the almighty dollar.

anyone know what happened to the records of former patients of Dr. Streat? He had some records that I don't have copies of and cannot get again.
