The Times vs Roger Boatright

I loved the article in the Alma Times. By the way this is my real name. And if you dont want people talking about you dont do something stupid.

I am disgusted with Roger Boatright and his thieving ways. I heard that Jerry Turner resigned from County Commissioners because of the Alma Times uproar. Now John Hughes is going to take his place. Also heard Roger's bank account is being investigated. I hope he looses everything like he has arranged for the demise of anyone that dare not do whatever he asks. I know he asked me to use my position to screw-over the taxpayers. I said NO and he made sure I was not employed the following year. Thank God I had options that allowed me to find employment elsewhere. Do I want to work at BCH now? No. I love the people that do work there with the exception of Cindy Turner and a few of her snitches. That Hospital Board should be voted on by the public so voters can express their approval or disapproval. As it is now, no one can do anything about the way the place is ran. Roger wanted me to buy bonds from a local bank that we did not need. When I said NO, he found a replacement that said Yes. Taxpayers will pay for it. Disgusting.

Does anybody support or like Roger Boatright? This is a classic example of how politics can ruin a person. When Roger was a State Trooper in the 70's and 80's he was liked by everyone and was encouraged to run for office. Look at him now. He is getting drilled from every angle. My advise to Roger is to get out of Alma and tell em all to KYA!!!!!

This is correct. Jerry was a city councilman - a darn good one, too. He left office for other reasons. His wife is ill, and that should be respected. I don't agree with Roger's attitude, but I adore the Turners.

Why not do this? Was the county in better shape in their finances before Roger took office or now?

Just the same few people running their mouth about something have have no clue about. It seems as though it don't matter who is in office, whether City or County, they get critized for trying to better this community. It's a shame that people are so jealous of others. What is this world coming to? if you look back, this mess of trying to ruin people in the media has been going on for years. I think it's high time it STOPS!!! What are we teaching our kids??? to grow up with hatred in their hearts and tobe negative about everything. If so, God help you. It's going to be a sad world to live in before long.

I really think there's enough people out there that old Roger has screwed over or bullied around that it should be fairly easy to get rid of him.... Hopefully, when he goes...so will the ones @ the hospital & the nursing home!!!

Just the same couple of people that things haven't gone how they want them so they get on topix and their mouths... Let me guess because John Tanner was fired??? Should have happened when Dyal was in office but he didn't do it!

By using tax dollars to buy a vehicle and using tax dollars to keep it on the roads and full of gas he picks on us all. Youd think with the raise to over $60k a year he gave himself he could have gave thst much needed car to our police or sheriffs dept who are all already seriously underpaid and make nowhere near $60+k a year, and drive his own vehicle. Not to mention who do you think had to foot the $200k+ bill for the john tanner case? Then who do you think had to eat the difference in UHLS's water bill and payment? Or what about the strickland girl getting fired from the hospital for having pregnancy issues after 18 loyal years to our communities hospital then him blatenly lying about having known she was fired after he gave the go ahead to the termination personally?

First of all have we ever had a chairman that drove his own car???? No.... And the county has not paid a dime to Tanner as the case has been appealed... Speak facts........ Also he does not hire or fire at the Hospital... I do feel bad for Kristi but that happens Daily with jobs.. Gave the go ahead for termination?? You people know so much it's like you were in the room or maybe under the desk when it happened??

But i do believe COMPLETELY that any board in Bacon Co. that spends any taxpayers $ should be voted in by the taxpayers and not appointed by another board. You should only be allowed to be on 1 board. Choose where your interests lie and go with it. There is no way that one person should be on the hospital board and be a county commissioner or be on the hospital board and the school board. Alma has both as we speak. You have the same people getting put in these positions and everybody wonders why nothing is changing. At least the school board is seeing some changes and i am excited about that.

well, i jest gotta put my 2cents worth in this topix. what politician is not favorable to themselves and their families? Right now, I can not think of a single one. Best thing is know the facts before smearing anybody's reputation and hurt their family. Not everything read or said is true.
